I know it´s way to early to worry about this, but I was thinking and I won´t rest if I don´t get the answer. :P

I was looking at POE reviews and whatnot, and I noticed San Juan (PR) is not listed. Is is that way ´cus I can´t use San Juan as my POE when I go home to my fiance?

I am asking ´cus I was thinking of going through Panama instead of Miami, ´cus of cheaper flights, but I must know if it will be a problem doing POE in San Juan.

I can't see that it would be a problem entering through San Juan. I'm not really sure though. If you do chose to go through Miami I have heard that it is not a bad place to enter the US.

I was thinking Miami might be a bit bothersome ´cus of high passenger traffic (like NY).

I don't think San Juan can be considered a POE, as its a US territory.

Only thing I can say is don't use Atlanta as your POE. Its the entrance to hell. :lol:

Certainly San Juan must be POE equipped. I can't imagine that it wouldn't be. It's a fairly popular tourist destination.

Latest news: Green card received 16 April 2007. USCIS-free until 3 January 2009! Eligible to naturalize 3 April 2010.

Not sure about PR as a POE...but my fiance has gone through Miami several times on a c-1 crewmember visa (he works on a cruise ship) and he didnt have any problems.

10/25/2005 - I-129F packet mailed to TSC

11/03/2005 - NOA 1 from CSC

11/07/2005 - Check cashed

02/03/2006 - NOA2 by e-mail

05/03/2006 - Leave for Jamaica

05/09/2006 - Interview "VISA APPROVED"

05/15/2006 - Return from Jamaica

05/22/2006 - Called off the wedding and Adrian left

Unfortunately, not necessarily true. Chattanooga is also a popular tourist destination but it's closest POE is---Hartsfield (which TracyTN abhors).

WOW that's pretty neat! Maybe luis&laura will be our first report on San Juan as POE!! :)

sriniv, I just hate Hartsfield! LOL I'm sure some folks have had decent experiences there. I'm just not one of em. ;)

Both of my experiences with Altanta as POE were relatively smooth (one glitch in March 1999 was a non-NAFTA-cognisant officer--I still got home that day), but then it happened to also be end-of-line both times (considering traffic load, this may make considerable difference against having to use ATL as a POE and then make a connexion).

Just got in touch with an old VJ member who did their POE in San Juan. Said it was a piece of cake. So I´ll be the second doing POE there. Many years later, let´s see how it goes (unless I find a cheaper flight through Miami). :P

She did say they didn´t stamp her I-94 there, although she got her driver´s license in 6 hours! :o
