Hi

I am awaiting for my I-130 visa which is thought my sister (USC) who lives in Florida and yes I know the general reply when you put in your application for the visa is 999 days. On a general note i was just wondering what peoples timescale have been. I live in the UK. It's been one year and I know it will be another few years yet. Would be nice to hear about peoples experiences in the same situation in terms of how many years that had to wait before approval.

Thanks.

Is your sister doing a family member petition? (I forget the code...r1 or something) I am also confused about the K-1. Can you explain more?

Generally about 6 months give or take once you have a 'visa number', which of course is the long wait. The Consulate sends a pack out.
