Eid Mubarak everyone! :dance::dance:

I know that there is always some controversy on when Ramadan begins and ends, but the largest mosque in our area has declared tomorrow Eid, so who am I to quarrel?

More than eating, I'm looking forward to drinking coffee during the work day!!

I got up and drank a cup of coffee every morning at 5:00 - 5:30 during Ramadan...kept the headaches away, but it was sure hard to get back to sleep until 7 or 7:30! :P

On a side note, It's a little amazing to me that I have so much willpower during Ramadan, but I am completely uninspired to go on a diet and lose 5-10 pounds (my clothes would fit so much better)!

My husband lost 7 pounds during Ramadan--I bet I didn't lose an ounce.

Any solid answer on Eid?

J (F)

ISNA/Fiqh Council say it is tomorrow (Saturday), according to moonsighting.com. The Islamic Center and largest mosque in my city says it's today (Friday). We already woke up to get hydrated, but I think my husband will celebrate Eid today, depending on what his friends do. I'll fast until he calls me with his decision. I feel a little sad about going back to normal. But coffee at work again will be nice.

I'm the USC.

11/05/2007........Conditional permanent residency effective date.

01/10/2008........Two-year green card in hand.

08/08/2009........Our son was born <3

Doing it the old fashioned way- the Islamic Society here in Houston did not see the moon yesterday, so we are fasting one more day. Eid is Saturday here.
