Hi everyone! I'm new to Visa Journey and need to vent. I recently sent my I-129F to the VSC and received a receipt date of March 3, 2006. Well, when I do searches in the processing times section of Visa Journey, I see people with NOA1 of like March 23, 2006 and being approved (NOA2) on April 7, 2006. (these dates are just an example however, they are pretty accurate). Anyway, I call the USCIS number to ask what the deal is and of course I get the run-around and end up speaking with a supervisor. Basically, I was told the same thing by the supervisor. My question is: Is this normal for there to be a big difference in processing times? I mean, most of these people who are receiving approvals submitted their K1's after me. Some are almost a month after me... :( There is no reason for this to occur! The USCIS told me that many of their case officers have lighter loads than others...blah, blah, blah....That my 45 days has just begun...blah, blah, blah...By the looks of things, the people who submitted after I did and who are approved, still should have about 3 weeks to go before their 45 days begin...Anyway, thanks for letting me vent and rant...Anyway suggestions or other experiences similar to mine????

There isn't any rhyme or reason to the timing throughout the visa process. Get used to the inconsistances and waiting, cause there's going to be a lot more down the road ;) Just wait til you get to deal with the consulates

When we went through VSC a year ago, it took more than 2 months to get the NOA2. Some people got it quicker, some waited a lot longer.

I would be thankful that your going through vermont and not CSC Where its normally three months. :) There are inconsistencies and it does make you question why people with laster noa1s that are getting their noa2 sooner. Not much you can do. It will come. I'm going through vermont too, Feb. 13th noa1 date, and i'm still waiting (because of my RFE)

I sent in my Petition on March 28th, by April 5th I got Noa1 and Yesterday my case approved. I should be getting Noa2 this week or next week.

If could be that they are checking your information. Probably they found something that doesnt make sense. My friend also did the K1 visa and he wrote his fiancee name with a i somewhere and then with a y somewhere else. I think that was in the G-325A form. It took him longer to get approved.

If you have a copy of your petition or G-325a just go over everything over again just to make sure you didnt make a mistake somewhere.

It could also be that the background check on you its taking longer to approve.

Motto: Another day gone by is another day you don't have to live apart again...

When Andy and I get low (9 months since we last held each other) we remind ourselves of how many days have gone past, which we won't have to live again apart...we're one more day closer to being together....than we were before. Thats what keeps us going. It is very hard. Take this time to educate yourself as much as possible on this horrendous process and look forward to the future.....one day it'll come and when it does this time will fade...

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything
