when i was in high school..usually guys ask,..How is your hammer hanging?' i assume they were gay, but it was asked by most males and i heard it later on...

it brought up..irrelevant questions people ask you? or say,??

like is that a new shirt? no, i went to goodwill i bought it...

I always say I am "fine" even if everything is wrong in my world, to the whole "How are you doing" thing.

My husband absolutely hates when I recognize an Old Navy shirt (I work there on the weekends) and comment about it. He feels like I am invading someone's privacy or something.

What about just the comment "you look great". Do you ever hear anyone walk up to someone they haven't seen in a while and say "you look like #######"?

Ok what about the inpresonal "how are you" and the common reply "fine" is everybody really willing to hear how someone is doing.

What if you replied to them

Ok you asked How i am doing.. I will tell you how I am doing... ( then go on a mad rant about how bad your day is going. ) do they really care?
