I was wondering if any one has any knowledge or light to shed on what to bring to the interview at the US embassy for a k-1 visa. my fiance has prepared all of his checklist items and returned all of the information for the packet 3....

We hvae read though in a few forums that they are able to ask for original copies of anything submitted throughout the process that is certified/ Does certified mean notorized ? I am then confused if so because how do get an item such as a birth certificate notorized.... alittle help would be great everyone ! Thanks!!!!

What I did with my birth certificate was,I orderd 5 of them from the town I was born. This was in Germany so I am guessing you can go and do this in the UK too.

I dont think I notary has to sign it,maybe the registry office will do that over in the UK.

You could try contacting the embassy in the UK....I emailed the embassy in Bucharest and they were very helpful. Or you could try the regional forums here. I think things vary from one embassy to another, so you should maybe check with others who went through the same embassy.

Good luck to you!
