We stayed at the Marriott Chateau Champlain. Not the cheapest but the rooms were clean (no itching !), decent fitness room and pool. It was approximately a 10 minute walk to the consulate.

We stayed at the Delta Montreal. We booked on hotwire.com and got a suite for $50 per night and it was a very nice hotel, with a pool and great fitness center, plus less than 5 minute walk to the consulate, Rue St. Catherine, and about a 15 minute walk to Old Montreal and the water front

ok so i checked out the hotels etc. prices..david was able to get hotel dauphin for 93$ plus tax total of 108.00$. Figure we'll leave Windsor at 5am so we miss out on the mississauga traffic. normally my choice are always the comfort inns, we used em for our drivers when i worked at Reimer.

I narrowed it down to two hotels dauphin/La phillip, me and my wife are planning to stay for couple of days!!! I want to see Montreal, it's our first time going; were so excited . jus waiting for the Mrs's to decide which one to go with!

hey there...

we stayed at Le Square Philippe and it was nice. Large room, clean and had everything we needed -- it was like 150$ a night but was nice and close to everything. FIve minute walk to the consulate and it was really, really good.

I narrowed it down to two hotels dauphin/La phillip, me and my wife are planning to stay for couple of days!!! I want to see Montreal, it's our first time going; were so excited . jus waiting for the Mrs's to decide which one to go with!

I stayed there back in 2004 and it was fine! Staff were excellent. I took the aerobus/shuttle! They called the shuttle for me in the morning of my departure. The room was a bit outdated--u can see a pic a few pages back--but it was clean. It had a small kitchenette with a fridge to store my celebration beer! They stored my luggage on the day i arrived, as I arrived early in the morning from Halifax!

Only problem I had while staying there was these gentlemen--which I refuse to disclose their ancestry--were arguing, and I'm 99.99% sure they pulled the fire alarm!! So I got to spend 30 minutes outside the hotel late at night before the interview! yes i dressed warmly and grabbed all my Interview documents,lol

Leaving Windsor at 5am should put you right smack dab in the middle of that mess.

wife and i booked the dauphin as well form hotels.ca $108.51 for this weekend, interview is on monday. Not looking foward to the drive to montreal but i guess it could be worse. Oh yeah and this thread helped alot as i was leaning toward letour but decided that the possibilities of bed bugs wasn't gonna help my chances. LOL

We hit the area around 11am when we drove and it was insane. Honestly, sleep in a couple of hours... it likely won't make much of a difference if you're only reason for leaving so early is to avoid the rush.
