No, you don't need to apply for EAD (form I-765) if you don't want to work.

You will be authorized to work anyway as soon as you get your green card.

Note that certain services may/will be denied to you if you don't have an EAD, such as obtaining a driver's license (depending on your state) or a Social Security Number (nationwide). You would then have to wait for your green card to get those.

Since filing for EAD is free along with AOS (form I-485), you might as well do it (along with Advance Parole, form I-131). That's my suggestion anyway.

And What is this Biometrics exame???!

You have to appear at your local USCIS office, and they will take your picture and your fingerprints. Very easy and straightforward.

The EAD can be an important document.... you can use it to prove your legal status in the US while you wait for your interview for AOS and your Greencard.... As a K3 Visa holder you can not get a SSN because you are not work authorized so you would have to wait until AOS approval to do things like open a bank account or be added to a bank account, most Health insurance companies will ask for a SSN, you will not be able to get a State ID card or driving license.....

You do not know how long it will take for you to be approved for AOS it could be only a few months but it could take over a year or more if you get stuck in FBI name check. The EAD would allow you to establish your life here in the USA... as it is included in the cost of the AOS there is no good reason not to apply for it...
