I have just filed the AOS a week ago just before I moved. I gave the post office the forwarding address. Now, I am at my new place and haven't received a NOA yet, but they cashed my check a couple days ago. When is the best time to file my change of address? Should I do it now or wait until I get NOA? Thank you.

Did you move across town or across country?

The US Post office usually wont forward mail from USCIS, the mail gets returned to USCIS, the letter is marked "Return Service Requested"

Moving during AOS is not recommended, NOA letters, Biometric letters, and interview appointment letters tend to get sent to old address and then returned to USCIS. Worse cases tend to have a couple missing an interview and finding them self facing deportation over the NO-SHOW.

Any time an alien in the USA moves the MUST file AR-11 within 10 days of moving.

Call USCIS and get address changed for the petition, and then call the again to confirm.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

If you knew you were moving why did you not use your new address on the AOS forms or wait until you had moved to file them.... you now need to complete form AR-11 for the immigrant and form I-865 for the sponsor..... also call the 1-800 nymber and get address updated then 2 weeks later make infopass appointment at your local office and get the officer to check your address has been updated and that you have not had any mail returned as not deliverable to USCIS....

My husband moved from his last place 2 months before I arrived in the US, but we still live in the same city. Now we are sending the AOS papers and using our new address. What else should we do?? Call USCIS to change our address , fill out a form???

Thanks for the help!
