My Fiance called the US Embassy in Manila and learned that NVC had entered her address wrong in the file sent to Manila. I recommend that you call the embassy to verify your information. The cost is 55 pesos a minute to call from Philippines or $18 US to call from America. The numbers are listed elsewhere on this site. My suggestion would be to call the State Department from the US. The number is 202-663-1225, press 1, 5, and 0. The call is free and they have access to the same data base that the embassy uses.

We will be at 6 months from our NOA1 on 20 October and no interview date yet as of this writing. We have had no RFE's, only delay after delay. I read about others with quicker timelines and am happy for them but makes me wonder why the process is not consistent. I have no faith in USCIS and very little in the US government.

Why is it that a Mexican can walk across the border illegally, get a job, free education for his/her kids, and free medical care in the emergency room all at taxpayer expense but when a US citizen petitions for a fiance visa he/she has to go through this time consuming process and have his/her relationship sanctioned by the US government?

I am venting. Thanks for reading.
