Exactly! I was just wearing capris and a tshirt and runners lastnight. I didnt think I needed to look top notch for a fitting. No one else did either.

I just finished the letter and I am printing it out.

My last sentence in the letter was:

"This is supposed to be a time in a woman’s life where every moment is a memory. David’s Bridal has left me feeling worthless"

I think that pretty much sums up everything and why they shouldn't treat any of their customers poorly.

Sorry you have to go through this. I also read from other wedding sites that they have bad customer service at David's Bridal. Glad you printed a letter of complaint.

I had a bad experience with them as well! They seemed to be in a big rush to get me out the door because I had blue hair (or was it pink.... hmmm). Hardly answering my questions, talking to me with crossed arms, getting a little huffy and short ... I didn't try on a single thing. I'm the USC but my family is very distant, I hardly have any friends locally either so I had no one to go with me to help and be all excited with me. :(

Later on we decided on a pirate theme wedding, the people at Party City were more accommodating!

Life long Texan, living in Hull, UK. How did this happen?

11 January - We met online and became friends

4 February - Became a couple

17 March - I went to Hull to meet the guy

20 March - First "I love you"

25 March - I go home :(

16 November - He comes to visit me in Texas

25 November - he leaves back home :(

14 December - ENGAGED! <3

1 March- I fly off to see my babe in Hull

4 April - I go home :(

9 October - He comes back to Texas!!!!

13 October - WEDDING!!!

22 October - He goes back to England and I continue to wait for my settlement visa.

13 December 2007 - Move to England

Now the wait begins, I will become a citizen then we will DFC back to the US.

Log a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and make it more public than keeping it internal.

Also take friends and family with you. I remember trying on dresses and it feels better to have familiar people around you getting you in and out of those heavier garments then having some stranger at the store toss a bra at you. Even these events of wedding dress shopping should be a joyous time of sharing and celebration with the people you care about that care about you. (F)

Wow I FINALLY got a reply from them almost a month later.

Here it is word for word....

Thank you, for taking the time write us about your experience in Maple Shade NJ store. On behalf of David's Bridal, please accept my sincere apology for the level of service you received when shopping at our store.

Copies of your letter have been forwarded to all relevant managers for their review. Shirley Levy, the assistant manager, in the Maple Shade store would be happy to personally assist you, if you would like to come back and see us. We have beautiful gowns and I know Shirley would be able to give you the service you did receive at your first appointment.

We strive to provide consistently superior service, so we welcome constructive critism from our valued customers. This enables us to provide feedback and coaching to our associates so they may continue to improve.

Blah blah blah. It took you long enough to reply, I already got a dress from another store thank you very much.

nope. They just asked me to go back and get PERSONAL one on one service from the supervisor i guess.

Damn.... when we had an issue at a local chain restaurant out here (no service on one experience, squirrelly/creepy service on another visit) we got gift vouchers for 3 meals for 2.

Still nothing really beats the experience I had from an HR rep at a company I interviewed at. I didn't get the job, forgot about it; then later out of the blue I got a forwarded email from the woman (using her work email address), intended presumably to friends of hers and which included several very questionable photographic image attachments.

I forwarded it on to customer service...

Ahaha wow!

Yea, I wasn't expecting anything from them, after all, its Davids Bridal. I only liked them for their prices, but I have heard they are one of the worst places to deal with. So I went with a small store in Marlton NJ instead.

I had a really bad experience with David's Bridal a few years ago when I was buying a bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding. This byatch told me they don't carry dresses in "my size" which was only a 12! I complained big time and got great service at another store as well as free shipping. I've been in a few weddings since then and decided to order my bridesmaids dresses and my gown from there and they've been ok so far.

I don't think they have the best reputation for customer service though, obviously.

LOL :lol daaaayumn.

I think Im the only person who has ever gotten decent service from David's. And its really ridiculous the number of people who have been treated badly. As much money as women drop for a wedding dress, you'd think these people would be drooling all over themselves to serve everyone who even looks like they might get married.
