I am trying to figure out something... the interviewer said everything looked good and is in order, and we should receive notice of outcome within 90 days... does that mean they are still processing my husband's case? I thought that the interviewer would give us a decision at the interview and say something like 'your husband should receive his greencard in the mail, etc etc etc', like at the K-3 interview in Turkey.

Anyone else who's had an AOS interview and got a different response from the interviewer?

I was thinking about this all night and couldn't sleep.

The interview went smooth, but maybe we thought it went good and the interviewer thought differently. Instead of upsetting us with 'this case needs further investigation' she just said something 'politically correct' so as not to cause a scene.

Also, the interviewer took my husband's I-94 Arrival card. I thought my husband needed to keep that in his passport??

Cool! Would you like to post some more details about what they asked you, both in terms of questions asked and documents you were required to bring?

What extra stuff did you bring?

List of what was requested to bring in interview letter:

I will make a side note of what interviewer actually asked for, what wasn't asked for, and what questions were asked:

1. Original interview letter (took 2 copies, receptionist took 1)

2. Birth certificate w/ translation (interviewer didn't ask for it)

3. Marriage certificate w/ translation (interviewer didn't ask for it)

4. I-864 Affidavit of Support (interviewer took it since i had new job with higher income)

5. Employment letter & paystubs (interviewer took new job's letter and copies of paystubs - didn't need old job's letter/paystubs when offered to her)

6. Medical exam and vacination supplement form in sealed envelope (interviewer asked for and opened/reviewed doctors report)

7. Police record w/ translation (interviewer didn't ask for it)

8. Copies of all documents submitted with application (interviewer didn't ask for anything)

9. Copies of eligibility to become lawful resident a.k.a. I-130 approval letter (interviewer asked for it, but said nevermind cuz she found it in the file)

10. Passport w/ visa & I-94 card (interviewer looked it over and took I-94 form)

11. US Gov't issued ID - Maryland State ID (interviewer looked at it)

12. Proof of relationship and common residence - (interviewer said she knew he has only been in US a short time, but she wanted to see if we had anything yet)

TOOK: Copies of husband's auto registration and title that is at our same address, copy of car insurance policy that has both of us listed and his car,

copies of my benefits from employer where i added husband to my health and dental when he came to USA in April.

LOOKED AT: Cell phone bill where I added a phone for Ali onto my account, photos of us together and with each other's family in Turkey and in USA

Questions asked to my husband (the interviewee) via interpretor:

1. Went through all the questions that are on I-485 Part 3 section - YES/NO questions

2. Did he get SSN yet? (NO)

3. Was he working? (NO)

4. What is his address?

5. What is his telephone number?

5. How much English does he know/understand?

Questions asked to me:

1. How did I learn Turkish? How long have I been speaking Turkish?

2. Did my family come to our wedding in Turkey? No, but my family gave us a party when Ali came to USA - showed her the photos.

3. How did we meet?
