Thanks everybody! I'm like, what do I do now? I took a lot of the documents and photos for the interview when I went to Algeria in March. I wrote an updated letter of intention, Got my bank letter for the affidavit of support. I did not take my original divorce papers to Algeria just in case I got an RFE for them. So I have to send them too. My most recent phone bills, skype history. recent chat history.... OMG, what am i forgetting!!! I am getting nervous now. oh yea photos from the last trip. whewwwww. (Deep breath)

And guess who is going to hand deliver them to Algeria?????........My friend Icey. Wouldn't be cool if she and Yacine could be there for Hachemi when he has his interview?

anyway, if anyone has any suggestions about something I forgot, Pleaseeee tell me.

Sharon, good to see you back! I'm sure you did your best and that's all anybody can ask, ya know?

Said, welcome to our forum. I already feel like I know you anyway from talking to Noura so much. Coming here and posting will be good practice for your interview, especially if you get a woman CO, because most of us are women. We'll get you comfortable around any type of woman you could have to face since I think we have all types here.

I wanted to tell you guys two cute things that happened the other night in the hotel room. NO, no sex talk!

We ended up in a room with 2 double beds since they didn't have any non-smoking king rooms available. We walked in and I looked at Abdel and asked him which bed he wanted. He looked at me in shock and said, "you mean we can't sleep in the same bed?" It took him a minute to realized I was joking with him.

Then, I had to pee so bad from driving 2 hours to get there, then driving another hour looking for a hotel, so I go in and sit down and look up and what is right in front of me? A full-length mirror! I looked at Abdel and said "Great, just what I always wanted, a full-length mirror in front of the toilet!"

He says, "Ok, but I don't know how we'll do it since the shower is in front of our toilet."

Poor baby was so tired from the trip he was totally missing my dripping sarcasm.

I just thought those were cute and wanted to share. Sorry if anything offended any body.

Now, after sitting in front of a full-length mirror while peeing, I'm off to play some tennis so next time that happens the view isn't so bad! It's a beautiful night here so I can't wait to get outside!

Good night everybody!

I really need to talk to someone so I will vent on here.

I am soooooooo stressed

To the point where I am crying right now. It is May which means :

Ali's Interview (which I am soooooo nervous about)

Finals for my University (will be graduating in December inshallah)

Last month of school for my preschoolers which means grades, enrollments for new school year, etc.

PLUS, my cousin just had a miscarriage today, my coworker/boss/friend's mom just got diagnosed with cancer and she hasnt been at work which makes things harder, my other coworker/friend's daughter also just had a miscarriage so she wont be at work tomorrow.

I don't know how much more I can handle. I'm not going to class tonight ... screw it. I have a big paper due tomorrow which I am behind on because of my cousins miscarriage. Please someone talk to me make me feel better I feel soooooo depressed and cannot stand how I have to go through all of this ####### alone .... it's 3 a.m. right now in Lebanon and I cant call Ali :crying: I can't even have him here to give me a hug or cry on his shoulder ... I swear if he was here things would be soooo much better. He's the type of person that will do anything in his power to help ... he will even learn how to do it if he doesnt know how.

:crying:I miss my habibi :crying:

Massouna!!!! Big giant hug coming your way... oh habibty!!! Here's a shoulder to cry on.... I'm so sorry and I know there's not much I can say to make any of it better, but I wish there was. I'd come running over w/ a skinny cow ice cream sandwich for you if I was close! If you wanna chat... gimme a holler... I'll pop into chat in a moment and see if you're there.

Rest assured you have many shoulder's here to cry on... vent away, sister, let it out!

With the way your petition has flown through CSC and the NVC, I'll probably be there for his interview too!

Always welcome

Massouna, I'm sending you all the karma I can, and lots of hugs. You're definitely having a horrible week and I'm so sorry all these bad things are happening at one time. I'm sure Ali will give you lots of encouragement tomorrow when you talk to him, but I know you need more than that right now.

My brother and his wife had two miscarraiges before having two beautiful children. Please know that while these losses are very painful, they aren't the end of childbearing for these ladies. Hopefully each of them will have successful pregnancies in a few months and beautiful wonderful babies to show for it soon.

What kind of cancer does your friend have? You do know that many kinds are curable I hope. My father died of cancer at 41, but my sons' father got cancer when he was in his early 40's and was in complete remission within 6 months. That was in 2001 and he hasn't had a recurrence since. I know that your friend may face several months of treatments, but keep your hope up, it's not always the end of the road.

As for your upcoming interview, I don't see how there can be any question about your relationship. You two are the dream couple and have a solid history to prove it.

Try to focus on your paper now, and indulge in some little thing that will calm you - whatever that is for you. Like Noura said, maybe it is ice cream. I know that for me dancing helps when I'm as stressed out as you. The physical exertion exhausts me so I am able to sleep good, and the stress just seems to come out my pores with the sweat. Of course, in my current condition that takes less than five minutes!

Please feel free to come vent as needed. We're here for you.

I'm here if you need a nice fluffy shoulder to cry on. This process is damaging enough to the emotions..I can't imagine more things thrown into the flames. I agree with the ice cream.. I'm poor so Central Dairy swirl will just have to do for now. (I'll get the gallon bucket and spoons and we can all eat it together!!)

Then some good drinks @[_] @[_] @[_] @[_] I'll pass them around!! Chin up hon, once a person has hit rock bottom, the only way left to go is up

Thanks guys for your support (L)

I was able to get through my breakdown with Noura & Ali's help. I chatted with Noura for a long time and she calmed me waaaay down al hamdullah. She was able to sit there and let me vent while helping me at the same time. She told me I was worrying about things I shouldnt worry about and that made me wake up and say "Stop doing this to yourself". I also was able to talk to Ali and as always he makes me forget everything in the world and all I can do when I'm talking to him is giggle and dream. I think today was just a bad day ... in this process we have our good days and our bad ones and today was definately one of my bad ones. As I told Noura, there is only so much one can take without breaking down. Today I broke down and couldn't take it anymore, without Ali by my side I felt like the world was collapsing. Alhamdullah God sent me Noura to get me through the roughest time. My family was busy with my miscarrying cousin, Ali was asleep, and my friends would just not understand. You guys however do understand because this is your life ... you have all been there.

Thank you soo much for your words. I am almost 3/4 through with my paper, my cousin is doing better, and yes tomorrow is going to be crazy at work but I should be able to handle it. As for the interview I'll wait till next week to freak out

Honeyblonde,

My friends mom's cancer is lung cancer .. she will probably die soon. It is not curable at all. She was a smoker and has lung cancer now.

Amal,

Do't tell me that's alcohol in those cups !! I'm Muslim so no drinks. I will accept them if they are STARBUCKS though ... that sounds sooo good right now. Maybe tomorrow after work I will go get some just for a treat after this crazy day.

(L)You guys are awesome. Thank you being there for me. (L)
