Hi Everybody!!

I wish so bad that I could just sit down and totally catch up but as usual, I only have a short time. At a glance it looks like I have missed a lot of progress and thats awesome. JP, I got something once from Amman that said emails should have just the AMM# as the subject so thats what I always did and it worked out ok.

Everything is working out ok here. We are both working our butts off but I guess thats ok. It took about 3 weeks to get his ss# but when he did he got his drivers license the next morning and he was working already so now he gets paid, too and he seems happy and he's doing really well here. As I was hoping, being busy solved a lot of other troubles in the beginning so thats good too. Some parts of his settling have been really hard but mostly we have fun so I don't know what else to say about that.Wish I had more time

Take care everybody!!!

HI Dawn. Good that he's working now. But it's also good to know that both of you are ok.

JP, sorry i'm a bit late. Yes, I email them quite frequently. You need a receipt number. Now you're doing the Fiance visa and I don't know if it goes to the visa center, probably does, and if so, you would have a case number that begins with AMM (for Amman) duh! Anyway, put that number in your subject line and write away. They are good at answering back. Now that you are new to them, they might take a few days or so and they are closed on Friday and Saturday. Let us know what your interview date is.

Good to see you Dawn. Actually, to me, not seeing someone for a while right after their man arrives means they are doing things right and devoting as much time as possible to helping him adjust and to their relationship.

Good to know that is what is going on in your case and that the adjustment is coming along nicely. I'm sure it is much easier since he is able to work, although I know that also causes different adjustments too, as our men get used to a totally different work environment from anything they are used to, but that's a story for another thread.

Dawn!! Glad everything is going good for you. You had me worry with that one post. I found out too if you are busy with your jobs it just seems to make everything fall into place like it should be. Have fun and keep us updated when you can.

Also want to say big thank you to Anmar's ESL teacher for getting his foot in the door concerning employment. I live in a small town 25,000 and it's sometimes difficult to even get a job here. But his ESL teacher is awesome an once she knew his wife was native american ( she just loves all things native)she was willing to go to bat for him and teach him the best she could because she is spanish speaking and all her students are from mexico and central america and south america, and she never taught an arabic speaker before. She got him a job at Walmart fulltime. I know she will never read here but just want to tell you all that there are some good people out there. She did ask Anmar to teach her arabic when his lessons where done. Without hesitation he told her he will.

Another note: After Anmar got his job, Union Pacific Railroad called us to come for an interview. I put his application in there because they are one of the biggest employers in this town and the money is excellent 50-75 thousand a year, the drawback is he would have been hired in train service which he would had to travel. So we both discussed it and came to the conclusion that we been apart already for so long some of that time by our choice because we wanted to know each other better before we decided to get engaged and get married. Anmar told me he didn't want to be away from me and that he preferred to come home every night to his wife. What could I say I couldn't disagree with that. They did tell us if he wanted after 6 months he can reapply for the job.

Ok, I know this is personal but I would like some tips from u gals. i been trying to get pregnant and it's been a while since i had a baby my son is going to be 10 soon. I don't know if it's from worrying about it too much. but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Angel...sometimes those things take time. I don't know if its a proven fact that worrying about it too much makes a difference, but I am a true beliver it does.

My best friends tried for a year to get pregnant. She was never really into it, her mind was always on getting pregnant. I think you should

1. Stop thinking about it, it will eventually happen.

2. Let nature take its course...if after a while of trying nothing happens talk to your doctor.

3. Get familiar with your body if you have not done so already. Meaning, do you know how to tell if you have been ovulating?

Were you taking any kind of birth control that you recently quit taking? If you were, it sometimes takes the body awhile to get back to normal.

LOL, what is our jordanian men...my fiance has been talking about having kids from day one. I think we are gonna try right away too. He wants to name our first son Jawad ( I don't like it) and he is already calling me Om Jawad (mother of jawad). I am hoping for a girl, the name I picked is Taleen (he doesn't like it)

I hope this helps! I was gonna say good luck, break a leg, what do you say to someone trying to get pregnant?

I'm glad things are going well for you! I was wondering how you were doing.

It's totally normal for it to take up to a year to get pregnant. If you're not pregnant by then, go see your doctor, unless you're over 35; then you want to go after 6 months. But you haven't been trying very long! Don't stress about it yet. Just enjoy being together for now!

Yeah, lets talk about babies. I have to look at this and I have no babies. This is my new niece...she's so perfect and I'm nuts about her so maybe one or some of these wouldn't be too bad. has anyone in this group had a baby at an older age? I'm 37 and its kinda a scary thought but I won't get any younger so I'm glad Angel brought this up.

On everything else, I still have a lot of catching up to do but I'm so glad to see everyone still here!

HI DAWN!!!!!

Well i'm getting up there in age as well and I am thinking time is running out also. I am going to try not to think about it as much now. Maybe it will help?? I'll take sharon's advice if it doesn't happen in 6 months time to go to the doctor. I'll agree with JP Anmar talks about out kids all the time. I said i will let his mother name our children since she picked out some nice names for her children. Good luck and check back hopefully they will give us some tips!!!!!!!

Inshallah soon we can both have little ticker tags at the bottom showing our babies grow!!!!
