Hello MelodyJeanne,

Nice to see you and Khalid are enjoying life together in the states and getting ready to AOS. I tried to see your mardi gras pics but they never downloaded and opened all the way. Both of you take care and congratulations on your marriage.

Andrea I'll send you a msg.

Jackie how long as Mohammed been attending the ESL classes? The ESL classes here also help in finding people a job, so hopefully we can utilize that also, cuz anmar is getting bored staying home since he's so use to having a job. It's strange for him not to be working.

Melody glad life is smiling upon you and khaled :)

i guess what the doc said is there is a bacteria, surrounding my stomach and this is causing the pain...but the bacteria does have something do with an ulcer...not sure how they fit together though....all i know is i pop so many pills a day, so it better be worth it, as i hate medicine!!!

Well, since I *am* almost a doctor.... There's a bacteria called H Pylori (you can tell if someone has it by doing a blood or a breath test) that combines with increased amounts of acid in your stomach to cause breakdown in the lining of your stomach, called an ulcer. Usually you'll take an antibiotic to kill the bacteria (because the ulcer usually will come back otherwise) and something to decrease the acid being produced by your stomach to help heal the ulcer. I'm glad the medicine is helping you!

Wow MelodyJeanne Mardi Gras must have been so much fun!!! I know Majid would LOVE to go there some time, he loves anywhere that there are tons of people out having a good time.

Hi Angel! Mohammed has been going for about a month and it runs til May. So, it is about a 4 month course. Last night he brought home 'homework'. lol....He didn't realize there were so many words he didn't know the meaning of. After one year here in the states, I can tell a difference in his english. All interaction helps, tv, radio and talking with others.

Kelly, glad your tummy is better. Hope you come home soon.

Dawn, what can I say, your big day is here! I am so so happy for you and Hatem. Hope your reunion is all you dreamed of.

Hi Jackie I will add you ! :)

Let me tell you last night Anmar and i went out to the Walmart Distrubution Center because he seen an ad in the paper, so we go there and have to do an application on the computer. It was difficult to say the least because they asked for references and all his references live in Irbid Jordan, so we just put them and their phones numbers. All the time we were trying to fill it out I was thinking omg they won't even consider him considering he just moved here and no usa references and you know how much money they make a day in jordan they asked him that question on the application and he put like 1 dollar I was like oh ####### when they see that..I feel like i'm mothering him too much I think ..oh well they called him this morning to come for an interview tomorrow at 9:30am..it was a big surprise for him and especially for me. They pay 12.65 a hour, but I don't want him to get his hopes up high for this. I feel a mother sending my kid to the first day of kindergarten.

Ok back to work

LOL Angel, ur too funny. Of course you would feel like a mother coz your husband knows nothing here. And we are, sort of like their mothers, aren't we? I hope he gets the job. He will be so high about that!

Dawn, did your husband get his visa?

The 'mothering' phase doesn't last long. Soon, they need, and I do mean NEED, to be the man and go out into the world. It was hard when Mohammed first drove to work in his car. I was worried that he would get lost and yep, he did. Went north on I294 and ended up in Wisconsin. (We live in Illinois).

Great news on the interview for Anmar. Mohammed also has trouble using the computer to apply for jobs. Most programs don't allow for foreign phone numbers.

i've been trying to get the umph to get noor to the local walmart to fill out an application too. he is about to go crazy not having a job. he is used to working around 16 hours a day 7 days a week all the time. Here..he sits at home waiting for me to get off of work and by then he's so bored he can't stand it. I don't know what to do for him... its really hard to help when they're in such a slump. On the bright side, he's doing fairly well with his designing stuff!! i'm really proud of him for that. I do all the leg work/marketing/getting customers and with that and working my regular job, i'm really stressin!!! I've never had to market anyone or anything before .... (other than saying hey, this drug is the same thing, only cheaper and has a money back guarantee) so i'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do. .. Sorry for venting a bit :) i'll let you back to your original programming!! lol hehehe love you all

Well I hope that mothering phase passes soon. It's wearing me out.

That is soo funny about ur husband ending up in Wisconsin..hehehe. Its things like that I imagine and it makes me scared to let him out of the house.. I let Anmar do some test driving and he kept going the wrong way and leaving his blinker/signal light on the whole time. our town isn't big or small but I can see him getting lost and ending up in going towards colorado. Here's another funny thing. Every first wednesday of the month we have an weather alert testing. So the sirens went off in town and Anmar runs outside and stands out there all scared. I guess the only time they sound the sirens in Jordan is when they have an earthquake alert or warning. So he finally notices nobody is outside just him and the earth isn't shaking, so he goes in and calls me and asks what is that noise and i started laughing and told him what it was and why they have the alerts. Omg it was so funny..

I haven't logged on yahoo msger but when I do i'll be sure to add you!!
