Lulu, I know it was a few days ago that you posted , but I want you to know that is it perfectly fine if you want to vent your frustrations. We are here for good and bad times alike. Honestly, I don't think anything can bring the mood of this thread down!!!

Things are still great here at my end of the world. I am trying to figure out how to save the money to make another trip to Jordan and stay for a month or so. I think it will have to be next year :( I have to be really careful about when I ask off at work. We are down to only a handfull of employees (boss doesn't want to pay overtime and he has cut us back to only 32 hours a week)... I have to wait until we get students home from college so I can leave and not be missed. I told Noor last night that when we go back, we have to go to Ajloun, Umm Qais again... (its my favorite place there), and Petra... maybe Aqaba... I definitely want to do some more travelling there next time. If you haven't been to Umm Qais... I highly recommend going. It is similar to Jerash but it is more colorful and more simple...much more a calm place.

I have been such an advertising maniac for my husband lately. People I meet on the street, by the end of our conversation they know that they can call us for business cards, brochures, magnets, flyers, envelopes...blah blah blah .. He has found it quite funny coz I literally pitch him everywhere. I am doing my best to find jobs for him. HEY IF ANY OF YOU NEED ANYTHING!!! hehehe *sigh* Thought I may get a smile to one of you with that! ;)

love you all!

that is a cool avatar Amy... I like Kiya's too

And on a completely different note just thought I'd share that I did my small share of contributing to Mardi Gras in New Orleans last nite! My *dance collective* (the Sisters of Salome') had a reunion last nite at one of our performance venues and we had sooooooooo much fun!!! It was so great to be there with all my dance sisters who had returned from Katrina escapes (either permanently or for the holiday) and put on a great performance for each other and the general public that was there. We smoked some great shisha too and I bought some to take to Said cuz he says they don't have flavors like this there. Our hookah mistress mixes up some great concoctions! So, I stayed out way too late, and got home way too early in the morning! But it was late enough that my man was already at work and I got to talk to him before going to sleep again.

less than 4 weeks to go for my visit!!!

ok, 'nuff rambling... :P

Andrea glad to hear you got moved and seem to be getting on track again. It takes a while and is always a pain when you move.

Kelly how are you feeling now? You have had such a hard time with an ulcer or tummy bug? I thought you were doing better and then I read you had been back at the hospital. Sure hope the new meds and shot will get you feeling chipper again.

Noura sounds like you had a blast with the dance group and down to 4 weeks before you leave.

Been off and on and checking on everyone. Take care everyone and hope we all have good week.

Mary

:help:

I know some of you are aware of what is going on...not only in Morocco, even though that is where it is most prevelant right now regarding K1/K3/CR1 petitions being returned to the United States. I am trying to get this issue pinned... and desparately need your support on pinning this issue.

If you have not already, please take a moment to go the the following topic and post your support for pinning this issue:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3896

Please...I know many of you are with your habibi in the United States...think of what you would do if you were faced with this issue...where would you go...where would you turn to find out what the guidlines are, what first steps would be most important in attempting to stop the petition from being returned? What can you do if you could not stop the petition from being returned? Pinning this issue will make it easier for those going through this issue to find/share important information and their experiences in attempt to help ourseves and possibly prevent this from happening to others.

Hi gang! I am moved in and yes, still going through too many boxes. Hope to get some energy back soon, all of it is going into the apt and have to get back to work soon, so hope to accomplish more today.

Hmm, what's Dawn up to. Her hubby was suppose to pick up his passport today (Tuesday). Or actually already did since typing this it is not 6 pm over in Jordan.

Kelly, I'm praying for you. Nothing worse than not feeling well and the stomach and head are probably the worse. Hang in there, hope these new meds do the trick.

Mary, thanks. Moving is a pain in the ###, that's why I didn't move for 5 years. STupid me, I gave the USCIS my address backwards, so when I went to change it, they told me, nope, have to wait 30 days. Lovely. They sent out the letter confirming my address. Well, guess it's going back to them, return to sender, lol.

And everyone else, have a great day!

Andrea

Noura, I'm jealous, it sounds FABULOUS!

Andrea, I HATE moving. And the longer it's been since you did it, the worse it is; there's so much stuff to go through. Congrats on being done.

Kelly, how's your stomach today? I've never had an ulcer, but people who have tell me it's like having a knife in your stomach :(

I am PSYCHED because I'm done with the hospital right now. I'm done with all the requirements to graduate from medical school, so now I have 3 months off (well not really off because I have to try and find a temp job to support us since Maj can't work). But I'm SO GLAD to be done with school, I was really getting sick of it. It'll be hard to be an intern, but I'm ready to really start learning instead of always watching other people do things.

Later ladies!

Wow Sharon that's great and you need to pat yourself on the back because making it through medical school is a big big deal. I just want to say Congratulations to you!!!!!

Saturday Anmar received his SS card in the mail, so we are just waiting for the green card. He also called around about ESL classes, but when I talk to the person he talked to she said he didn't really need the ESL classes because his english was good, but he still wants to attend them so his english gets better. I been busy at work and at home, so don't have that much time to post, but I do read the post when I can. Andrea just want to say when I log on Yahoo you are never online, same with Amal, but I guess Noor has been using the computer, congrats to him on getting some jobs. I caught this 24 hour bug and was so sick yesterday, everyone at work thought I was pregnant hehehe, but it was negative Anmar was sad, but me if I had to go through morning sickness like that than noooo way i want to be pregnant now. :goofy:

I hardly ever get sick so when i do it feels like i want to die :dead:

Amy glad you enjoyed your trip hopefully that AR will go by quickly.

Mary still checking on any updates from you, although i did read the post about your son, hopefully he's feeling better.

Have a nice day everyone!!!!

Sharon you do deserve a big pat on the back what an accomplishment.

Angel glad to hear Anmar got his ss card already and sorry to hear that you have a bug. Alot of it seems to be going around with the up and down temperatures. Hope you recover fully and soon.

JP is fine from the first surgery. His main surgery will be on June 1st they decided to not have him miss anymore school now if we can and he was already booked solid until May 15th. Thanks for asking about him.

This case is undergoing necessary administrative processing as part of the clearance procedure. Visa applicants affected by additonal screening should expect delays before the case is concluded. It is difficult to predict the amount of time that the clearance process will take.

Once the administrative processing is complete, we will contact the applicant.

Hope this information is helpful.

So that was my news for today. I will contact DOS again later this week and see if they have any changes on our case.

Mohammed goes to ESL classes. His english is very good, but he found that slang and different dialect is something he needs to work on. There is 5 levels in Illinois for ESL. He is in level 5 because he can already read and write in English. This week his homework is about 5 pages of puzzles, crossword and word search. They watch movies and take notes on words they don't understand, then discusss what they saw and heard. He goes 2 nights a week and really enjoys it.

Kelly, hope you feel better. Dawn, ready for laundry? :P

HAHAHAHA Dawn...get ready!!!

thanks for the wishes everyone...since i have left the doctor (3 days ago) the pain has not returned...ive been watching everything i eat and drink, and also my smoking.....ive been on these meds and INSHALLAH they are doing the trick....ive been soooo misinformed between the doctors broken english and sofyan trying to translate medical terms...i guess what the doc said is there is a bacteria, surrounding my stomach and this is causing the pain...but the bacteria does have something do with an ulcer...not sure how they fit together though....all i know is i pop so many pills a day, so it better be worth it, as i hate medicine!!!

Good news!!!!!!!!! Sofyan quit his job yesterday....so i have had every minute of his time the past 2 days and will until the interview! he left right now to go battle with his boss to try and take his pay for last month and we may be heading out to Ajloon this weekend...i sure cant wait....but i may experience some VJ withdrawals...lol....

hope everyones doing good!
