Thanks Noura I think I have the strength from God/Allah. I really try to come and help and support others plus to keep from thinking of our situation as much. Thanks to all the ladies in here and the ones in the Pakistan room since we all know our journeys are more complex and we need to be comforts and shoulders to each other.

Mary, I certainly sound like a major whiner compared to what you are tolerating! I know I am not that strong as I retreat off to the corner . . . then I read all the posts that you make congratulating people and wishing them good luck! I never hear you B**** and whine (well, hardly ever, LOL, I think I might remember one itty bitty time). Nope I am not that strong!!! But you have a point . . . sometimes trying to help others will take your mind off of things.

So sorry I have not been online at all for a while. My laptop overheated and has been on the fritz for a while now and I use the net cafes mainly for checking my email, etc. Thought I would catch everyone up for a change today. Amr had his interview Dec 19th. The lady told him he would have his visa in 2 weeks, then it was 6 weeks and now we are going on 8 weeks. I am hoping we hear something soon. Life in Egypt is great, so simple. Really we have talked about me teaching here instead of us going back, but no decisions have been made as of yet.

Amr and I had the change to meet Amy and her fiance a few days ago. It was nice to see another american face! :D We ended up leaving the boys for a while and going to a few shops and gettings some groceries and things. We laughed because men would walk by us and say "white sugar."

When I have more time I will read up on everyones situations. I hope everyone is doing well!

I think you should contact the embassy in Egypt, either by phone or email. If they said he would have it in 2 weeks, it's now 8 weeks, maybe they placed the file somewhere and forgot about u.

Embassy called in April and set the interview date for August 23, 2006

Embassy called on 7-25 and asked Faisal to interview on 7-26 (nervous wreck but prepared)

7-26-06 Faisal is approved for K3 Visa

8-24-06, Faisal arrives at O'Hare Airport!!!!!!!

EAD filed in middle of September, 2006 approved in middle of October, 2006 and husband working

at end of October, 2006!

5-2-07- Noa1 on AOS

5-18-07-fingerprinting completed

5-25-07-letter received from USCIS from Missouri asking for proof of income from cosponsor.

He had a good interview. It was short, they were nice to him and he's sposed to pick up his passport Tuesday...a little early to declare a sucess, but I feel good about it.

Kelly's next!!!!!! Kelly, tell him he's got to SMILE for the american lady.

And then I think we are out of interviews unless somebody schedules something. I think we are due for a rush of new interview dates.
