we have llamas at my other house.

Do they serve a purpose or are they just to look at? I mean do they do any work, like pulling wagons or can you ride them or anything like that?

I think in their native lands they were used as pack animals. Alpaca (I'm not sure if they are a type of llama or just related somehow) are also used for their wool.

Ahhh gotcha

I want one now :P I'll get him a small wagon to pull the kids around in

Alpacas are soooo cute! There is actually a big llama and alpaca show here every year. Geez....that really makes me sound like a country bumkin from the midwest! It's fun to take the kids to, they can pet them and see the things their wool is made from. Really....is their hair wool? Or is it just hair????

As promised ladies and gents I have Ishteaq's confirmed arrival home. It is late night on May 23rd which happens to be this coming Tuesday.:dance::dance:

I will being saying farewell to VJ in a few days since I have to get the kids finsihed with school, Ishteaq home and settled, and then JP is having surgery on the 1st of June. I will try and check in and see any updates but that will depend on how hectic life is going to be here. I definitely will update the Timeline and post his POE as soon as things permit.

Wanted to expresss my gratitude to all of you for your cheering us on along the way. I have enjoyed getting to know most of you and will be pulling for all of you to be reunited with your loved ones, soon.

This journey is not an easy one and I tell all of you to lean on each other and reach inwards and rely on your faith to keep you going.

Mary

Mary I am so very happy to see this day is finally coming for you and your husband ! No one has been waiting more patiently, or deserves this wonderful happy event more than you (L)

I know you must have your hands full with the last-minute preparations before Zero Hour tomorrow night, and it will only get crazier in the first couple of weeks Ishteaq is here.... so we're not expecting you to spend hours on VJ ! If you find a spare moment here or there to check in and post an update, we'll be more than pleased.

I'd like to say "Thanks" to you, Mary, for the unwavering kindness, encouragement and support you've shown to every member here.... you constantly send the most positive vibes of anyone on VJ. You have certainly earned your place as one of the most respected and beloved members ever to post on this website.

Wishing Ishteaq a safe and pleasant flight, and wishing you the most wonderful and joyous of reunions with your husband.

Allah bless you and your family always.
