Ok - I just got a Starbucks gift card and I know that there is a Starbucks in just about every country. Now I am sitting here wondering if I can use the gift card in lebanon. Can you guys tell how busy I am at work.

LOL is there really a Starbucks in Lebanon? There's a fake Starbucks in Casablanca, I don't think there's a real one though.

That's a bummer you have to work today, I got the day off....

Sharon

Yes there is a starbucks in Lebanon. Last summer while I was there (no American Coffee, just the instant stuff) My fiance decided to get me coffee from starbucks. The poor guy did not know that I absolutly hate starbuck coffee. He brings a cup and I had to very nicely inform him that I don't drink starbucks and thank him the great gesture. But I would still like to see if I can use the gift card there.

You have Starbucks, KFC, TGIF, Pizza Hut, Mcdonalds, ect in lebanon. but with all that I'm not sure if the meat is Halal in those places.

Halal in McDonalds...KFC, etc? Oh, you KNOW it isn't...LOL!

Thanks everyone for your concern after my accident. I am alright, just a little sore in my neck and shoulder. I got the estimate today. I was shocked. It will cost $2639.00 to fix my tahoe. Since she has no insurance she told me she would pay for my damage and didnt want me to turn it into my insurance. I called her and told her what the amount was. She said that she will have the money by 11:00 am tomorrow. I told her if I did not receive the money tomorrow, I was taking the estimate and police report to my insurance. She assured me she will have it. We will see.

The American chains as far as I know are always halal in Muslim countries. They buy their meat locally.

There is a halal McDonald's in Sydney, Australia and many in Canada, especially in the Toronto area which has a large Muslim population.. I also remember reading that several of the Detroit area Mickey D's were serving halal nuggets for the large Muslim population. There are halal KFC's in the US and Canada too.

I sure hope she does show with the money Meriem!!! I am always wary of people without insurance... by the way, HOW can she NOT have insurance by the way? Isn't that a law in all states? Just wondering...

Anyways, I wish you all the best... and am so thankful that you were not hurt! *hugs* Lynne

Well the women called today, and met with me. She had 2639.39 in cash money. I cant beleive it. I wrote her a reciept and took the money to the body shop. Lucky me. She did get a citation and will have to show proof of insurance when she goes to court.

Thank's so much.

Dawn.... @ "alien club"... makes us sound like a bunch of extra-terrestrials. That IS cute.

Well I'm sure you've already given Hatem a "practice" interview with all the obvious questions and told him to be calm a million times. Yes... as all have said.... really the best thing is just to try to relax and not get flustered... and a friendly smile when meeting the CO is always good ! Get the mojo sprayer ready....we're wishing you all the best for The Big Day on Thursday... hope the interview is short, sweet & simple, and most of all successful !

Meriem.... that lady who hit you is one in a million to actually show up with the cash. You've got an angel on your shoulder for sure ! Good luck getting your wheels fixed as soon as possible !

Meriem, what did you say to her?? When I saw how much your estimate was I just knew you were going to have a hard time holding her responsible and out of nowhere, she just pays? good for you.

hmmm, if the embassy gives my husband any run-around, I'm gonna have you call them I think.
