I-693A Question

Hello,

I am going to do the I-693A tomorrow with a civil surgeon. Before my interview, I was only asked to get the MMR and Tetanus Toxoid. Then I have a booster for Hepatitis B. I was told that those are the only vaccinations I need to show proof of because I am 28 years old already. Is there anyone here who was required to get all the vaccinations listed on the I-693A?

The civil surgeon should tell you what you need. That's there job.

There is an good reason for the required vaccinations. You sure don't want to catch one of the diseases!

US is a great country but not disease free.

The civil surgeon should direct you only to the immunizations that are age-appropriate.

Did you have a vaccination record you took to the medical? There should have be another form from the medical, I think it was the DS-3025, that shows the vaccines that were administered but am not sure if it shows ones you have had in your country. If you have additional information you should take those records with you to the civil surgeon. Claudeth only received the tetanus shot.

Thanks guys. It all went fine as I have all the records with me and the civil surgeon said mine is complete. We should file my AOS packet tomorrow, so wish us luck!
