Hi,

I am new here I sent in my I130 on 6-28-07, but my situation is this. I am still pending for the approval of the cr1, but i met some ppl from my hubby country nigeria, and all that went through the cr1 have waited over 1year, at least 14-16 mos for the entire proces, this is waayy too long i'm sorry. But if i send in for the k3 on tuesday next week by my petition being so close to an approval 90-120 days, would i be able to let them know i want to go the k3 instead?.

What if the cr1 get approved , and my k3 is sitting there waiting approval is there anyway i can tell them to push that through to nvc instead the without having to be stuck with cr1. The main reason i didnt file k3 was because he said he wanted to work and i didnt want him sitting around and having all the expense to pay for adjustinf\g status and all, but now time is changing our thoughts and here i am 3 months after sending my I130 to cali. Please what could be done abt this I hope it works out the way i want it.

Blessings

you can file K3 before NOA 2 ... you should be able to file it ... on avg K3 is taking 6-7 months from NOA1 to NOA2 ... then 2-3 weeks in NVC that to your country's embassy

if you filing for K-3 you should have done it right after NOA1 ... since you waited this long i personally don't think its going to be any faster ....

Find out the timeline between Embassy and interview.... that could be the bottleneck its different from one country to another

Hi,

The time from nvc to embassy for interview is where the k3 makes the difference, with the cr1 it just sits at embassy awaiting interview, but when i look at the timelines for the k3 to embassy for interview its only a couple of months . I think i need to hurry up and do it just for the purpose of the issuing of the visa this is where its get long .

thanks

please let me know anything further pointers
