My wife received packet 3 and 4 and they only requested that the DS-156 and DS-230 be brought to the interview filled out. I've read embassy reviews that have said the embassy wants a DS-156k and/or DS-157 for some couples. Does anyone know when a DS-156k or DS-157 would be required?

Never mind  I figured it out after I posted. It looks like DS-156k is for K1 visas (we're a K3) and DS-157 is for males between the ages of 16 and 45 applying for non-immigrant visas. I guess we only need DS-156.
