Is it possible get Asian television channels in the US? I don't know if there is something we could subscribe to so my fiancee could get some Thai or Korean TV channels here in the States. I'm hoping we wouldn't have to get some huge dish for something like this.

You're such a great fiancee :) Awww.. well I watch the Thai dramas and tv shows thorugh a website calls IPTV.. here is the link

http://iptv.thaitv.tv

Cost is $30.00 every 3 months, but its well worth it. She can watch every show since all the Lakorn update every hours.

I hope this will help you out :)

yep FTA is the way to go. Lots of middle eastern, Indian, Thai and even has one Vietnamese channel on the system I use. I got my stuff from www.fusionsat.com They were local to me (Los Angeles) and they do installs so it was convenient for a satellite newbie like me. I highly reccomend the Sonicview brand receiver. Both their HD and Standard definition boxes are reliable and easy to use.

I was actually wondering the same thing today. I am in Sai Gon now and was amazed to find Cinemax, HBO and The Star Channel with Vietnamese subtitles. I did some pretty exaustive reseach on the net trying to find a source for American DVD's with VN Subtitles and didn't have alot of luck with the movies I was looking for.
