That is why I am in favor of a state run system. If a problem starts it is easier to fix. Once the federal government gets it's hands on something it becomes so entrenched changing it becomes almost impossible.

Hate to tell you brother Gary, a state-run system would still have the same problems. Having worked with the Oklahoma legislature, and now seeing how the Pennsylvania legislature and its chronies operate, the state schmucks are just as corrupt, wasteful, and greedy as the national folk. They just don't get the national attention of the idiots in DC.

But when a program gets in trouble we only have 1/50 of the mess to fix. Plus a state government is usually more responsive to it's people. Then there is the special interests. Why should a special interest group from CA effect how health care in MN is run? We are just to big of a country for a national health care system to be responsive to everyone.
