I messed up!!!!

Need help. I did my AOS paperwork received my NOA1 and appointment for Bio is this friday. I received another letter yesterday saying I forgot the paperwork for I-864 avidavit of support. I did all the paperwork and included my tax return papers but did not send copies of my W-2's forms. And it says I have 60 days to get this information in are my case will be denied. Well I'm sending this information to them tomorrow. Any Idea if this will have a delay affect on my case and how much longer the delay if any might be? Thanks Dynamo Dean

Then send them a complete I-864 package. (1040s mean nothing with out copies of the W2 to prove the numbers on the 1040)

We sent I-864, copies of (1040, W2, 1099), IRS transcripts, a letter from employer, and a few recent pay stubs, with the I-485.

They may continue processing the other items like name checks while waiting for the I-864 to be sent back to them.

Once they get your documents, they will resume processing your case but yes, it will result in a delay of some type. Not too long hopefully.

Incidentally, an RFE will also hold up your AP/EAD processing too, so it's great that you're getting your stuff sent off ASAP.

Same thing happened to me....except my hubby doesn't get W-2's because he is a self employed farmer. So I made new copies of everything with a polite explanation and sent it back. Fingers crossed that it won't be too much of a delay for either one of us. I'm thinkin' this was an error on their part....oops! did I say that outloud?

I got the same RFE as you. My husband is self-employed as well. What exactly did you send back?

I sent them back irs transcripts, a copy of my business license and bank statements since I didn't have any w-2,s or 1099,s ,,, then they resumed the AOS.

Relax, as said, just send them what they are asking for and everything will be ok. It will not delays things too much.

You can still go to the Biometrics Appt.

Well they where asking me for my W-2 that you receive from your job to do your taxes. They wanted copies of the W-2. I had only sent them a copy of my 1040 tax return and a couple of copies of my last few pay check stubs. So I sent them all this info again including the I864 again this time alone with copies of the W-2's . sO I hope they will be happy this time. Thanks Dynamo Dean
