Hello Rina, Aurea, Ness&Keith, Jayzar and all my fellow VJ'rs!!

Since Rina started this forum to most of us of the same case status, I just wanted to THANK YOU ALL as of yesterday after talking to NVC (live) and also confirmed it with their recording this evening, my wife's case has just been COMPLETED!!! PRAISE THE LORD and EVERYONE who kept us in their prayers, encouraging us and teaching us the proper way in completing the forms, etc. This forum has been awesome and really been informative and very helpful for the most part. On behalf of my wife and I, we would like once again to Thank You EVERYONE as each of you has been so helpful! Rina and other's, we shall continue to pray for you guys' case to be completed as well. I know that my wife's journey is still not over but I thank the Lord for His grace and will to where we are now at this point.

Again, thank you EVERYONE and I hope to see more completed cases before this month is up!!

May God continue to Bless us all!

D&A

congrats to you too D&A. Goodluck to your wife on the medicals and interview.

Guess who is getting another RFE from NVC?

I called to hear the auto message today - on October 11th we sent you a checklist.....

Anyway, it's not as bad as it sounds, but is a step in the sending 2 responses to an RFE thing.

Here is how it has gone so far:

1. NVC says they are sending checklist for corrections on the DS-230 - operator tells me what is missing.

2. I send back my own checklist cover with the corrected DS-230

3. Find out when I receive hard copy Checklist that they want a copy of Husband's Canadian PR card as well

4. Use hard copy checklist cover sheet, send back DS-230 AND copy of Canadian PR card

5. NVC acknowledges receiving 2nd checklist items on October 9th

6. October 11th IVR says...we are sending you a checklist

7. Call NVC, speak with operator, she mentions the PR card was not included - however they are still 'reviewing' the 2nd set of documents I sent.

So hopefully they see it in the 2nd set of documents - when I heard the IVR this morning it actually made me laugh out loud, I have sent them everything we have. Maybe should have sent a box of chocolates or something with that checklist.

Wow  second one for RFE? Seems like the same thing that happened to me when they said IT WAS NOT THERE, however I knew it was ALL sent to them. What is it for you now?

This is for my Husband's Canadian Perm Residency card (needed to prove he can interview in Canada).

This is kind of my own fault as I sent it with the additional checklist info. I think it will be ok though as she said they haven't finished reviewing the 2nd set of documents I sent - which included it.

It's funny, when I called today she said - 'did you call about this yesterday'? I'm thinking yeah, I called - oh and I will call Monday too haha.

It should say on the recorded message - hey don't call more than once a week - you annoy us :hehe:

I received my RFE checklist yesterday, and it was exactly as what the operators have all told me. I was afraid that they were missing the 1st police certificate I sent out the first time, but they've circled the one I need with a pencil--turned out the one I did not send! I took a chance by responding to the checklist before actually receiving it and thank God there were no suprises. Hopefully reviewing this one piece of one document wouldn't take them too long!!!!

For now, I am having some weekend fun!! :pop::reading:

 Yeap, funny they keep track of everything. I had the same conversation with them every single day, it's always the same ME that will call them every single day. I guess, now that I am over with NVC, it's good riddance for them.

A big Congratulations Rina!! What a surprise! I am happy you were able to make a Nov interview  ! So in your case, because it coincides with the second week of Oct that they assigned you the interview or simply because Manilla is fast? Casablanca, Morocco looks to be the same, I hope I'll get something in Dec since Nov is too late!

Congratulations again Rina. Very happy for you!!!

I was surprise to find out about the interview date today, but this week was really my target date for the Case Complete with NVC. There are a few of us on the same timeline going for CR1/ IR1 visa in Manila consulate and got in for November interview. We ALL thought we are not going to make it since they said it's all filled up at USEM for the month of November.:dance::dance: We all called DOS and got the good news!!!

So basically Rina! If my case is complete by the end of this month God willing, I should expect an interview in Dec knowing that Casablanca is not a very busy consulate?

Not sure about CASABLANCA in particular, but from what I know is that NVC/ DOS schedules appointment dates every 2nd week of the month for the next month. That's what happened with mine. The second week of this month of October is 8th thru 14th, my case was completed on the 10th, therefore my appointment was scheduled for November 15th. In other words, if your case will be completed by end of this month, if the statement is true, then YES your interview will be in December.

I tried to check the timelines for your country, but no data was showing.

Now that is quite revealing; you'd think the whole case file was waiting to be reviewed, but apparently, no, that is not how it works...

Basically, you broke the second cardinal rule of NVC this time ("never send NVC documents before they are requested"), but of course NVC did request them, you just omitted them in the first RFE response but then sent them later separately using an RFE form that NVC never even generated, yet it is waiting to be reviewed all the same!

The good news is you've now exhausted your two RFE's on this issue. Assuming this is a DS-230 RFE, as I think this is, you're supposed to get a Case Complete now even if information is still missing (no more than 2 RFE's are supposed to be issued for missing info, other than regarding Affidavit of Support). Of course, I think you got all the info. needed this time anyway...

Nevertheless, we may be able to soon test that 2 RFE rule out very on my case... I expect to get a DS-230 RFE next week which I will only be able to partially fulfill. If I can shortcut the second RFE like you have done, and cancel out all further RFE'ing on that last missing item, that would be great for me and give me until the interview date to get that last document (a 3rd country police certificate) or present the excuse for not getting it!

If I can shortcut the second RFE like you have done, and cancel out all further RFE'ing on that last missing item, that would be great for me and give me until the interview date to get that last document (a 3rd country police certificate) or present the excuse for not getting it!

Yes, I am happy to have exceeded their expectations of me  and happy that I have reached the DS-230 quota for RFE's!

What is your 2nd DS-230 RFE for, aside from the 3rd police certificate?
