 no news yet........I am already thro half a bottle of vino....

She turned up without a lawyer. Asked for 50% of his miltary pension and $2,500 on top of the $7,000 we have paid her already.

No deal on the pension...agreed to 50% on the 3 yrs they were married and the cash. Seems like she is going for it.....awaiting confirmation....

I feel sick.......

OK

She agreed to 50% of the pension based on just the 3 yrs they were married plus the fcking $2,500 cash that MUST be paid over the next 5 months.

I don't really understand the whole military pension thing and what exactly she will be paid for the rest of her life for 3 yrs of marriage to a guy who has served for 20+ yrs.

Anyway, he seems not ectastic about it but thinks it could of been worse....

So.....next week the decree will be entered and I guess we can finally be married after May...which is good...

Thanks for the PM's and support here...I have needed it today...y'all rock!

So basically she's just getting 50% of what 3 years' worth of pension would amount to, not 50% of the 20 years?

Well, maybe it's worth it to get her off your back. Hope everything gets worked out swiftly and fairly and you and your sweetie can FINALLY get hitched! (F)

Looks like we need to start planning that wedding. Glad to hear she agreed and that you can finally move along with your lives.
