Hello everyone!

I have a question about the receipt date for our I-130.

We sent our I-130 to the Texas USCIS and they forwarded it to the California USCIS.

The website has a date of June 11th for receipt but the NOA1 has a date of 6-29-2007. Which will they use?

The website says:

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On June 11, 2007, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

The NOA1 is dated:

Notice date – 6/29/2007

Which one?

I just talked to someone at the California USCIS and they said that I could not go by the website date. I had to go by the date on the NOA1. That really sucks!

I thought that the dates on the California NOA1 was sent late becasue of a computer error and that the date it was put into the computer system was the correct date.

Does anyone else know?

I think they go with the date when they actually recieve it, in this case it would be the date when your packet was recieved by the Texas Center, I am telling this from my case, mine was recieved in nebraska on may 18th and then forwarded to CSC , the notice had a date of June 6th as notice date and so did the the webiste 'on june 6th we recieved blah blah blah' , but the order in which they were approving was based on when you sent and that is the date as priority date when you get your NOA2
