Hi,

I send my I-751 on Feb 2007 and I did my Biometrics month later and I'm still waiting. Should I be worried?? Does it take this long.

06/12/04 - I-129F petition mailed

06/21/04 - I-797 NOA1 received via mail

07/05/04 - APPROVED! NOA2 via online status (21 days!)

07/21/04 - Letter from NVC dated 7/16

08/04/04 - Packet 3 received!

08/09/04 - Mailed DS-230 and checklist to Embassy.

09/12/04 - Packet 4 received!.. Oct 20th interview date.

10/20/04 - Visa granted!.. (130 days!)

10/23/04 - Entered US via Peace Bridge with U-haul in tow!

AOS

11/08/04 - Applied for SSN

11/10/04 - Marriage ceremony!

11/13/04 - Received SSN in mail

11/23/04 - Applied for AOS/EAD/AP in person

12/04/04 - Received NOA I-797C for AOS/EAD/AP

12/23/04 - Biometrics for AP & EAD

01/12/05 - AP approved... received 01/26 (lost in mail I guess)

01/18/05 - EAD approved... received in mail 01/19

02/25/05 - I-797C received... AOS interview 04/25/05

04/25/05 - AOS interview successful!

You are outside the reported 6 mos. processing time so it would appear there is a problem... Have you called?

You need to updated your profile as it still says you have filed for K1... you need to check the timeline for the service center that you sent your I-751 to.... but USCIS say it takes at least 6 months.... maybe you need to make an infopass appointment to find out what is going on... but with out more information I cant say...

Your profile says filed for K-1 not Lifting conditions, and you have no timeline this helps others know your status.

USCIS has up to a year to process I-751 that is why the NOA-1 extends LPR status for 1 year.

You will receive a notice of receipt for the form stating that "Your alien card is extended one year - employment and travel authorized". Keep the receipt with your green card. If by some chance you are not approved within a year you will want to make an InfoPass appointment to go to your Local Office to request an I-551 stamp in your passport. This does happen as it sometimes it takes over a year to be approved. After your NOA extension expires, this is your only evidence of legal status which you are required to have, by law. This happens occasionally, that a case takes over a year, but it's rare.

I sent in my I-751 in Sept. 2006, and didn't get my approval email until May, 2007, so it was 8 months in total.

I had my biometrics done one month after they received my I-751, and then I didn't hear anything for over 6 months, so I wouldn't worry yet.

My file is at Texas Service center and I did call them and I was told it takes up to one year, if I don't get anything by Feb. 2008 I should call them again!!!
