Why would you need advanced parole if you are on a IR-1/CR-1... AP is for people who wish to leave the US on vacation while they are waiting for the outcome of their AOS.....

You asked about advanced parole..... not about re-entry permit.... it may be the same form but they are 2 totally diffrent things....

If you care to give us a bit more info then perhaps we can help you.... but to answer your question about how long it takes.... well in the US it takes about 70 -90 days.... if you are applying outside the US then I have no idea...

well sorry if i confused u,,,but here is the case,,i was legal immigrant in the u.s on cr-1 visa,,i entered in 2002,,in 2006 i got divorced and i went to mexico with my new fiance and when i re-enter the u.s they denied my entery and i lost my status and i was detained,,so i got married whilei was detained and they the immigration judge dismissed my case and all the charges and i was allowed to withdraw my application for addmition,,so i went back to mexico ,,so my wife have filed the i-130 for me in jan-2007,,2 weeks ago it was sent to the local office for standard interview for my wife whice we'r not worry about ,,we sent all the documents they need it and we'r waiting for the i-130 to get proved,,so an immigration attorney have told my wife that if we get the i-130 approved then he wont let me deal with the nvc or the embassy,,bcoz he will file the i-131 for me and get me back to the country for few months and then i will leave and go back to mexico for the iv interview,,but this way we will be together for few months before the visa interview,,bcoz my wife is disable and she needs me very important,,she needs 7 surgerys ,,so thats all,,i dont know what he mean by that,,so iam not sure if its advance parole or a permint or what,,but all i care about is to be with my wife,,,i was there for 4 years before and i have very clean record,,,and the immigration aggreed to dropp all the charges when i was in custody bcoz i have a clean record,,so i wasn't deported or removal or anything,,,and thats when the judge said he will put me back in mexico like i never been in the u.s before ,so that way nothing will be on my record,,,by the way,,iam not mexican,,iam jordanina citizen,,thats all,,,and thats why was woundering about the i-131 and i didnt know what the difference is ,,if its advance parole or re-entery permint,,thnx,,and hopfully its not another 10 months waiting like the i-130 ,,thnx alot

I dont think you will get any replies to your question, I have been on VJ for over 2 years and I have never seen anyone get advanced parole to allow them to be with their spouse while their CR1/IR1 is being processed...

But if you get the advanced parole please let us all know as I am sure there are 1000's of people who will apply....
