My tomato sauce is not sticking to my lasagna noodles! Other than that, my lasagna is turning out great. I really do not know what I am doing wrong. I used a whole jar of sauce and I even added a ziplock size bag of marinara sauce and the lasagna noodles were just lightly coated! I am really frustrated because I have added more sauce and it is still not working!

:help:

Are you using dry or wet noodles? Is there oil in the sauce or is the sauce runny? Try using a thick sauce with as little oil in it as possible.

I used the oven ready noodles. I mix the tomato sauce in with the browned ground beef. There may be some olive oil in the tomato sauce, but I always drain the beef well.

Im not sure how you are making it. Are you making it in layers?

Yes I layer it.

I really don't understand how you're making this.

I'm Italian btw....been making lasagne since I could walk

lol

OK,

I cook the ground beef on the stove. Then I add the beef to a bowl of the tomato sauce. I then just layer it alternating between the meat sauce and then the ricotta layer.

that's why. I can picture what you're talking about. it's the gound beef's fault. next time try spreading the tomato sauce and then kind of sprinkle the meat on it. Does that make sense?

I don't understand. The sauce doesn't have to stick to the pasta...

But I like mine with more sauce sticking to the noodles. It is turning out like a very light coating. It tastes a little dry to me.

But you're putting it all together in the pan, so the sauce will all be in there. I don't think the final product will seem dry.
