EmpressM, did they send it by snail mail? I can't believe that the mail is taking so long to send it to St. Vincent. I wonder how long it's going to take from Barbados to St. Lucia. If i remember correctly, I read on MIDUVIL's post that they waited 3 weeks for the mail to arrive - and they are IN Barbados. That's crazy. Well I hope you guys get your Packet 3 soon. Keep us posted.

Yes they sent it snail mail... but still it shouldn't take this long! Well I guess if they can't even get stuff to Barbados from Barbados we are all doomed to wait... Jene & Desland said that it took about 4 weeks before they received theirs.

I can send something to him from TX and it will be there in approximately two weeks; they have no excuse for this delay.

I will keep you posted, you do the same.

Oh Lawdy....that is definitely frustrating!!! You're right, there is no excuse for that. I wish they offer DHL service from the consulate...I would gladly pay them just so Packet 3 gets to my SO in a timely manner. The NOA2 wait is frustrating enough but to wait for mail from Barbados? That's just enough to set me over the edge.

I'll keep you guys posted when the time comes. In the meantime, I'll keep you guys in my prayers....I'm hoping your SO gets Packet 3 asap and get this process moving.

CSC received our I-129F on October 17, 2007. Our case was touched for the first time today (2/26/2008). Keeping fingers crossed...

Our case was touched for fhe first (official) time yesterday too. It's good to know that at least it's there and someone did something with it, even if they probably just took it from the big pile to someone's desk. I got all excited when I saw yesterday's date on the USCIS website :)

Good Luck  'Stardust72' Maybe this will be the beginning of many October CSC'ers?!

Oh yes, that would be great. I'm all for that

It would be great if they gave you an option for paying for DHL. It's sad that we all have to wait an extra month just because of the mail. We are both extremely frustrated right now.

I will keep you in my prayers also... I hope you do not have to wait like this

Is it ever too early for a celebratory drink? We got our first touch yesterday too. (Well, we had a touch on October 24, too, but I think that may have been from me setting up the online account with USCIS and I know it wasn't because they were actually working on our file, so I'm counting this one as the first.) I had the same reaction you did, and I am definitely going to have a celebratory drink even though it is only 10:40 am here!

wall i called and they say my case is under review whatever that means i ask if its with a case officer and the lady say yes and that it take 30 to 60 days so i really dont know what that means.

if i don't hear anything by mone i gauss i need to call my senator's office.

Well, your Representative's office would be the office you'd want to call, not your Senator. But your Representative or Senator is not going to take any action until after the case processing date has passed. Currently the case processing date for your service center is August 19.

If she said your case is with an officer, then you're close. Hang in there. :)

Also be careful to avoid spilling wine into the keyboard. This will cause the keyboard to stop working. And yes, I do speak from experience.

Today is my fiance's birthday and tomorrow he is flying home, so I really hope we get the NOA2 dated today and that I get an email notification of it. Really, if we get it soon, that will make me happy enough.

Lucian's Girl, they should be picking yours up and working on it soon.

OK. So when do we start to panic if we haven't been touched?

My SO is working real unsociable hours at the moment as he works for the US Air force so it's hard for him to call right now.

We were only touched around the time of our NOA1.

Oh, Roselinda I feel for you! From your timeline, you sent your application before me, so I'm sure your file will be approved very soon. I wouldn't worry about your SO not being able to call, we've never made a single call to USCIS, and I have never seen any evidence on these forums that calling makes any difference. Also, lots of people get approved without ever getting a touch, so who knows, next time you log in you might just be approved!! I hope so. (F)

Ack, you filed in September, Roselinda. In all honesty, I'd probably be in panic mode if I were you, but it would be an unfounded panic. Even though there are a few people from mid October who have gotten their approvals already, they have still only done about 2/3 of the September petitions, and there are quite a few from August and even earlier that are still pending. Touches don't really mean much--it could be an RFE (bad!), an NOA2 (good!), or someone just picking up your file to read while taking a dump (okay, or maybe moving it to a different immigration officer or some such thing). It is comforting to see them, because it at least shows they've not lost the file (I guess) but not seeing them isn't cause for worry at this point. It's also quite possible that they HAVE worked on your file without noting it in the system. I think that has happened for some people as well.
