thankyou i wish u the same it looks like u have been waiting almost as long as we have........

My wish for those like you is to be approved this week! It seems there are still some July, August and September filers waiting at CSC. I hope your touches mean your packet is moving through now! I am not sure what my frame of mind would be if I waited as long as you

Hang in there, estadia, it'll come soon. I went over four months without even a single touch or not knowing what was going on at all. The members of this forum have all helped tremendously (as did buying a good shoot-em-up video game).

Good luck, and god speed, to all of us.

OK so tomorrow my man will call the 1-800 number for the USCIS and ask them whats going on and whether we are approved or not since last week several ppl found out that way that they were approved and just haven't gotten notice yet.......

We have now changed the date for our wedding from May 17th to June 21st since Mister went ahead and spend 1000$ on a freaking cell phone (and the required deposit).......them 1000$ were half of our Airfares so now ,even in case we are approved or get approved this week,we don't have the cash anymore to be flying out by the end of April.

Sucks big time since flight fee's change on May 1st and get about 50% more expensive.............

Men!!!! Why can they not just THINK before they go out and get their lil toys????

(Of course all men on VJ are the big exception of the rule! LOL)

Nat

Met on May 17,2005

Got engaged on Sep 15th,2006

Came to the US for good on Jan 27th,2009

It is difficult to wait...interminable at times.

It is difficult to go and see your loved ones too, knowing you have to say good bye at some point.

It is difficult to even say good bye on the phone, or on the web cam.

It is difficult to imagine being without them at all for any length of time.

I feel all the pain with you as we wait, no matter what stage of the process or journey we are in.

What is not difficult to see, is how much every one of us loves and cares about our SO. This can make me smile :)

So true DongDong!!

I just got back from visiting my SO and it is so painful to leave him, but I'm looking to the end of all of this soon. We'll all make it!!

This is from APPLEWOW,

She say congrats on you receipt of NOA2 :dance: ...please continue to pray for us!!!! :innocent::help:

Yeah, that's what I think they mean too.

Heck, they might even be already approved, lots of people have found that the online system never gets updated. Just keep you eye on your mailbox at home this week...

That is so frustrating for me, knowing the mail can take up to 8 days from So Cal to here. But it looks like it will be soon, and the NVC is speeding up.

Well, FINALLY they updated my online status. Touched again today, this time notifying me that they sent a request out to me for additional information.

Does anybody know how far this might put me back, timewise? If I overnight the info to them will it sit for another month or will they get right on it?

Any input will help.

Thanks,

Tars Tarkas

Hi there Tars;

I just experienced the same thing.. stupidity on my part though, I left one bit of paperwork out of the application. I had it but clearly didn't recognize that I forgot to add it until they informed me. So annoying! At any rate, I didn't even get a notice via online that there was something missing - had it through the post. I rang up USCIS after I sent the paperwork back that they needed to ask that very question ' has this set me back ?' and basically the answer was YES..

However, as I sent what they needed within two days I'm HOPING that it's not really set me back horribly long.. they give you 30 days to get the paperwork to them.. which if you have it to hand I'd suggest getting it to them ASAP.

Not sure that this reply will make you feel any better.. I know it didn't do anything but stress me out.. just make sure you get the info to them ASAP and hopefully it won't hold anything up. I have to wonder that had this one particular piece of paper not been missing from my file - would it have been approved?! I'm almost certain it would've been.. *sigh*

This is what my request for more information says regarding time scale:

From the date this office receives your resubmission, a minimum of 14 days will be required to process your form. If you have not heard from us within 60 days, you may contact the USCIS.

RFE's are usually processed pretty quickly. In most cases it will only set your case back a couple weeks, especially if it's just a technical issue like a missing form or a box not checked or signed.

Be sure to write "RFE" on the outside of the envelope in BIG RED LETTERS when you mail it back, and of course get return receipt requested.

The good news is that your case is on someone's desk, and they are working on it. Get your RFE taken care of asap and your approval should be just around the corner.
