It looks like some people are getting their receipt acknowledgements and NOA1s faster than others, even from the same service center. Anyone know why that is?

I thought I may as well get this one started. I sent my I-129F package yesterday, October 1 to the VSC. Let's hope the timelines start getting a little quicker with USCIS.

I have this funny feeling that October will be very very fast at VSC. This is not wishful thinking. Just look at our NOA1. Do not say I told you!!!!!

I don't understand why in the world VSC is SO fast and CSC is EXTREMLY slow!!!!!! It's driving me up the walls..........why that difference??

It's not like ppl that have filed under CSC have more time, patience or what ever.We want to be reunited with our loved ones too!

Yeah this is more or less a rant but Gee come on now.

There's so many October Filers under VSC that have gotten their checks cashed and their NoA 1's issued while we don't hear a thing.Gee not even the ones that filed on the 1st under CSC have heared anything so far. Some ppl have filed 6 weeks ago under CSC and STILL no cashed check or NoA1!

Why did they get VSC 200 new staff members and CSC ain't getting NONE?!

NOT FAIR! Not to their staff in Laguna Niguel and definitley NOT to the custmoers!

Sorry had to say that!

Are you stoned or something?? do a timeline search and compare VSC to CSC. Since the 1st of October there have been 28 approvals from California and only 6 from Vermont. A little math will show you why Vermont needs these 200 extra workers. I wouldn't be so mad if I were you. You've got a long way to go still and it could be worse, ....you could be waiting for Vermont. stay calm. And expect to wait at least 4-5 months for an approval. Good luck!

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Oh, hell. my bad! Heck, I'd trade Service Centers with her in a minute. I didnt realize that's what she was talking about. Sorry. I still think California's faster overall. But since so many people never even get their NOA1 I wouldn't sweat that part. And it might take a few weeks to get their NOA1 or checks cashed. Some cases can be extreme for either service center.

yeah, I agree with you; I'd rather be at CSC in the current climate too... though I can also understand the anxiety of receiving no acknowledgement of your petition for weeks and not even knowing if you'd properly started the whole process

True, I suppose it would really suck if I didn't know if my petition was even received formally.

When people say such-and-such a timeframe for an approval, do they mean the actual approval of the visa, or the approval to send it on to the consulate?

Approval to send it to the consulate, NOA2.

In this case, I'm guessing the poster meant to wonder why CSC was faster, not VSC.

There is no point being all emotional about this. If I sent out a very important package like this, I would very much wish to know if it was received and the process started. Haven't anybody heard about missing or lost package? I will suggest that you start this very early to make sure that at least they received your petition. I'D CALL!!. And by the way, watch and see VSC move in the next month with all those new employees.

Nope I wasn't stone,actually never in my life.lol.

Just had a really bad day ,missing my man like crazy.

The thing is that we have already had a very long wait time before we were even able to put our papers in,so I guess I just got stressed out yesterday.........

I just saw all those NoA1's from VSC,didn't know that in the end they were slower than CSC.

And yeah I'd really like to know that everything's ok with our paperwork.........I know it got there, but our passport pics were taken on Sep.10th and they received our Petition on Oct 10th....so ya I'm worried about that.

But we had no way of sending papers in earlier because we were waiting for his Divorce Decree which we STILL don't have a certified copy of.We had to call the ex's lawyer and have them FAX a copy so we could put the papers in........

Just a lot of delays and frustrations on our way already and I guess my stress level was a bit too high yesterday........Sorry if I offended someone!

But I think we all get emotional at times.

Slightly Bonkers-

great that you got you NoA1 !!! Congrats! I guess after all CSC IS NOT as slow as I thought...........
