OCTOBER FILERS

Progress Update for us poor CSC'ers.

Two August filers got their NOA2's last week, the most recent of which received NOA1 on 2007-08-03 and NOA2 on 2007-12-04. After that July looks pretty much well completed up to the 26th.

So best case scenario for some of us is 4 months, but that's also bearing in mind that June and July were the mother of all busy months at CSC so maybe best case scenario is 3.5 months conceivably.

So there. Just doing my bit to keep everyones spirits up!!!

I keep hoping that since the bulk of the july petitions have been processed that that means we will get through a little faster since that was a huge month. . . I'm sure we are all hoping that's the case!!

That sounds about right. I figure with the current processing time of around 135 days between NOA1 and NOA2, I'm looking at Feb. 27 for my NOA2... I'm still thinking they will shave some time off that in next couple of months, once they get all those supposed new hires up to speed! Looking at those historical processing time charts, this is the longest they've ever taken to process K-1s (lucky us...), so hopefully they will soon start to get back to more 'normal' processing times.

I'm hoping I don't get a 'new hire' reviewing our case. They will no doubt be a lot more 'officious' than an old hand ... and my fiance and I are already looking at a RFE for not signing and dating the additional info sheet we attached which detailed the address of my children ...

Hi everyone! I'm American but have resided in the UK for nearly eight years. My partner of four years is Australian and we've decided we'd like to get married but I wish to move back to the states. We filed the I-129F form on October 23, 2007 and got our receipt back on the 25th Oct 2007. (Quite a good response time as I heard through the USCIS's phone messages that it could take up to 15 wks! just to get a receipt). We filed through the Vermont Service Centre. My question is how long does the whole journey take from now in order to get my fiance into the states with me?

What other forms will need to be filed out? Basically.. what are the next steps??

Also, if they had needed more info, would I have heard by now?

I can't plan a wedding without knowing WHEN we can actually move into the states. Based on my 'timeline' it says on here possibly April 2008.. urgh.. I was really hoping it might go quicker than the original 6 months it claims.. Our case is so straight forward and simple I guess I was just hoping it would go a bit quicker than that.
