Curious to see how many August Filers have gotten a RFE and is so what for, the date of letter, etc?

Be interesting to see if there is a pattern here with USIC.

There won't be a pattern for RFEs, simply because everyone's case is different. I'm also sure that USCIS isn't going to send out RFEs for the sake of it; it'll just add to wayyyy more work in the long run.

Has been following the progress of the August filers. If anyone has an RFE (or gets one) they will more than likely make a note of it in there.

Thanks for you input and thoughts,

BUT like I have posted and said to those of you that are AUGUST FILERS and have already checked the link listed above for AUGUST FILERS and would like to know the frequency of RFEs being issued and the type or kind of RFE or what for on a RFE please feel free to respond to this. Just thought this would be interesting thread to see what or if any of us AUGUST FILERS are experiencing! I find it helps to share information and learn from others mistakes/experiences.

What Mags was trying to say to you that there is no such thing as "frequency" of RFES. It has nothing to do with the month or any other factors. People get RFES because their application is incomplete or something is wrong with it.

Share your experiences with other august filers in the august thread already there for you.

Plus- What is different than an RFE for someone in august VS someone in july? It would be more helpful for you to look in threads where people mention they have gotten an RFE.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I think what everyone else is trying to say to you in the nicest way possible is:

WHY CAN'T YOU USE THE SAME DAMN THREAD AS ALL OF THE OTHER AUGUST FILERS BECAUSE THE INFORMATION THAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IS ALREADY IN THERE?

Do you understand? If you want that information, look for it.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing more frustrating than watching good people try and help someone who is too lazy to look for the information and unwilling to understand that it probably won't help them anyway, RFE's being on a case-by-case basis. It's nothing more than sheer laziness and it cheeses me off.

I didn't take it as being lazy..maybe just maybe...he wanted a thread just for rfe's and didn't want to rifle through all the other stuff...I don't see why it always has to problems when somebody does things differently than the way others think they should..what is pointless and useless to you(in general) might help others...isn't that the point anyway

The point as far as I can see is that the OP is looking for patterns in something there are not patterns in and refusing to accept that. It certainly is laziness, because I had a quick flick through the August Filers thread and there is more than one mention of an RFE in there. When there is a perfectly good thread with the information that you are looking for in it, then it is your responsibility (IMHO) to parse that thread for the data you're looking for and not clutter up the forum when there is a perfectly good one.

It's like looking for patterns in traffic violation tickets for a month - they're given if you did something wrong, they're not if you didn't (mostly!).

Where does it end - "I want to know about everyone filing for lifting of conditions on the 16th of October 2007, and I want to know why their application took three days longer to process"? The process is not one of absolutes. Just because one person gets an RFE, someone who submitted an identical packet may not. Think fractal geometry.

Or maybe he just wanted them to gather here in this thread fot that reason ...so give him a break

I understand what you are saying (ChristinaM) but my point is this...who cares if he wants to start a different thread and explore the possibilites! There are loads of crazy threads on this website..and yes people do ask the same question more than once...we all know that..but honestly does it hurt anybody?

But her point is it makes no sense. He/She won't be gaining any useful information even if they did post all RFEs for Aug. here.

I think, Treble, that the only way they will see that there is no pattern is to exhaust themselves looking for one. The reason it matters is that other, useful information gets pushed off the front page, for one.

There seems to be mass hysteria about two things in this process - dates, and RFEs. It doesn't seem to sink into the rational thought process that just because someone filed the same paperwork on the same day to the same service centre does not mean that they will get approved in anything even vaguely resembling the same timeframe as you, nor that there are many reasons for an RFE up to and including "the adjudicator got out of bed the wrong side this morning".

My concern is that the more threads we see about both dates and RFEs, the more hysterical people get because they feel that they're not "normal" - when in reality, there is no "normal" in this.
