My case was compelted according to the NVC on Oct 1, 2007. What will they do next? If they will send it to the consulate in Pakistan how long will that take? What method do they use to send the case file? DHL, FedEx, U.S Mail is there any way I could track it?

it takes 4 weeks at least to reach to embassy , then u will have to do medical check up by by Dr AHMED RAZA jan that is close to jinah super market in islamabad , along with that , u need 1040s for the past 3 years along with the signed affdavit of support I 864 forum notarized by american notarary public, coz i saw one stupid man there he notarized it from pakistan notaray public cant forget that , i luaghed alot, lolzz along with that , read the packet 3.5 , onething make sure your are qualified in 1040s , if u are not qualified they will deny ur papers and will send u back ur papers, when i sent it took 18 days from them to send me interivew letter, and ur interview is going to be after 6 months if ur lucky and ur interview goes successfull , if not , or some not bad thing happened, they will put u in AP, that will take 3 to 4 months more , ( 3 to 4 buisness days) so ur in wait for atleast 1 year more , so stay calm and do all those things and dont think that much about all that thing coz i am waiting for the last 4 years and i dont know here who is waiting for that much long , my prayers are with you best of luck and Allah bless us all Amin

The new I-864 used for more than a year does not require notarization.

This is so strange. Ive never heard of the embassy taking 6 months to schedule an interview date! I know around 3 or 4 girls who applied for a K3 and Cr-1 visa. It took about 2 months max for them to get an interview date! You know it may vary from case to case. I agree about the 4 weeks for the papers to reach the embassy from NVC.

Oh and they use the American Express Travel Service to send out documents.

Your very helpful online...But why would you "luaghed alot, lolzz along with that" at some poor man's honest mistake at the Embassy?

How would you feel if you made a small mistake (which is easy to do in immigration matters) and people laughed at you and called you stupid?

If you do a timeline search function, you can see how long it has been taking people to get an interview date in Pakistan. From those timelines, it does seem that Islamabad embassy is quite slow at scheduling interviews. According to the list, it seems that most people had to wait about 4-6 months to get an interview. There were few who received their interview date in about a month. I think that the embassy schedules the interviews according to the priority date. And their are people on this forum from Pakistan who had to wait more than a year to get their I130 approved. So I would think that these are the people who would get an interview date fairly quickly. And the people who had their I130 approved in a short amount of time would probably have to wait 4-6 months for an interview. See the profile of this member who has his interview scheduled at the end of January. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=38993

NUTTY brother

why i laugh alot ?

Doctor told me to laugh alot , it is strongly recommended by him, he told me that you dont need uptight your self by immigration process, and he told me i can truly feel for you that you are waiting for 4 years now , he said laugh alot , drink good , eat good, sleep good , and one last thing i wont share here , heheehehe lolzzz,

Chill Man , it is important we will be serious 24 /7 , hell no not for me , i cant be serious 24 /7 impossible for me , the key to my success and i am being patience, that I laugh alot thats why i am not getting any stress,

So my dear brother I strongly recommend you to please smile alot, laugh alot and i promise u , it wont cost u anything but trust me out come is great , you dont belive me , laugh , smile and cheer up , u will by your self that your Chaingang brother is telling you the truth or not , and guess what I dont lie, lolz:D.

smile smile smile, good thing for health trust me on that,

Regards to that guy who notarized affdavit from Pakistan notarary public, seems to be funny for me ,sorry but i cant stop my self laughing, if i do something stupid i will be first man laughing at my self, this is how i am , kinda crazy right , guess what i am like this ,

A crazy dude, thats why i am Chaingang

one last thing I been through islamabad embassy , i know them more then anyone , trust me it will take 6 months you would be indeed very lucky if u get early visa interivew, and 99.99 percent they put male applicants on AP, when i went to interivew all girls got approved and they told them come to get your visa after 2 weeks , so they are more strick on guys as compare to women, this is why own experience,

Every case can be different, who knows , I remember one same day one guy went for interview after interview he got banned for 10 years, coz he stayed illegally in united states for 6 years, this all depends case to case, brother.

My prayers are with you , keep smiling lolzz:D

Allah bless us all

Amin

As chaingang mentioned the case will forward to Islamabad usually within 2-4 weeks time. In the past you could track the progress via DHL but they have changed the information and you can no longer do this now. The electronic copy is sent first and then the hard copy and once both copies are matched it will show at the embassy. The embassy will then send out your packet with information. It is taking some time for interviews usually 3 months with the K visa's and 4-6 months for the CR-1 but you have to remember that we are getting ready to have Ramadan closure, american holidays, end of physical year for the government and then the DV lottery all happening this time of the year. Please stay confident and take your journey one day at a time and as you see AP follows your interview in 99 percent of the cases. Good luck.
