My Fiancé is in Poland now and we plan on getting married in Poland close to the end of the year. For a more in-depth story please see the links below in this post. We were wondering what the probability of her getting a Tourist Visa to visit would be? She is working in Warsaw and we weren’t sure if this would be enough to “ensure her return” for the embassy?

:help:

If you have any insight or recommendations please respond.

Didn't you get your answer in the first posting? If her J1 had a HRR requirement she has to wait out the 2 yrs.

just the visa cannot be issued until the HRR is fulfilled...

You can also email the US embassy if you feel your question hasn't been answered. Better if the USC does this, they respond quicker.

Adresy e-mail:

publicwrw@state.gov wszystkie rodzaje zapytań dotyczących wiz (IV, DV, NIV) i spraw konsularnych.

fiancewrw@state.gov zapytania dotyczące wiz narzeczeńskich.

Or call them:

0701 77 44 00 z telefonów stacjonarnych TP SA (za wyjątkiem z aparatów na karty telefoniczne).

*740 94 00 z telefonów komórkowych wszystkich operatorów.

When I had questions I emailed them... it took about a week for them to respond but they did.

Also, applying for a tourist visa is risky, without having strong ties to Poland most get denied. Stating that simply working in Warsaw is not a strong tie. You have to have land, work contract, show something that "forces" you to return home. My husband (then fiance) applied for a tourist visa before we applied for the K1 and he was denied. So we wasted $100.

Good luck.

Which sounds like November 2007 ends the 2 yrs... Nothing wrong with applying now ......

YMMV

With applying for the K1 that is... but they want to do a tourist visa in the meantime, meaning now. And she lived in the UK for 6 mo, which I'm not sure if it doesn't push back the HRR.
