Get yourself familiar with the NVC Flowchart for CR1/ IR1 and James Shortcut v2.0 Most of your questions will be answered on those two links.

Unfortunately, your case based from other VJers who has CR1/ IR1 took at least 2- 2/12 months with NVC (without an RFE and has used James Shortcut), and would have to wait at least 6 weeks for their interview. So looking at your timeline, it will be approximately late January to early February.

Good luck!

If this is a spouse of U.S. citizen-based and the marriage is less than two years old, then CR1 is the proper category. Otherwise it is IR1 for spouse of U.S. citizen.

Give it about 3-4 months for you to be at the NVC. But if you follow James' shortcuts closer, it might take less than that.
