Hey Guys,

I totally forgot that my Green Card expired 11/21/2006! We bought a new house last year and with the moving and remodeling + our jobs + my mother desease (she passed away 2 month ago)... I totally forgot. In August I filled late, but yesterday they return my whole package back and ask me to write an "explanatory letter". What I can do? What should I write in the letter?

PANIC!!!1

Thank you,

Dana

Thank you,

Better get a lawyer unless you have a solid reason for doing so that was "beyond your control".

At this time you are subject to deportation proceddings from filing late.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

You need to send a detailed letter explaining why you were late in filing for removal of conditions.... include as much information as you can about your mothers illness.... I dont think the moving house or your job are going to be good reasons for not filing as these are everyday events....

If you are not confident about writing this letter you may want to have an lawyer do it for you... they will be able to word it in a legal manner....

Good Luck

Thank you. I'll write the letter right now. How big are the chances to be deported? I have a very nice and cool marriage....
