So, here I am, all by myself. My mom and brother were here the last two weeks. Nani and Naomi left for Ethiopia Saturday - they arrived there just fine yesterday - and mom and my brother took off for Germany today. Now this house is freakin' empty. And it'll be that way for awhile. Nani and Naomi are not due back until 12/29. I'll have to see when I can take a couple weeks to head over to Addis for a visit. Can't be away for three months in one stretch. :no:

Awww, that is so sweet!

I know the feeling, my mom visited us for three weeks and the house was so full and "homy"...now that she left I miss her sooo much! :crying:

I might go back to my home country for X-mas and hubby's already depressed thinking about it, he doesn't know yet if he will be able to get some time off to come along...it will be weird and sad, we always go back together and we never spent the Holidays apart in 7 years! :(

Three months without Nani and your precious sweet little girl must really suck...but think about how happy Nani must be, being back with her family after so long, and how happy everyone there must be about having them over! Man, she's going to be spoiled! (L)

If I were you though, I would definitely try to go visit them a little...three months are too long! :crying:

That's the thing, Nani hasn't been home in over three and a half years. She's been longing to see her family and to giver her family the opportunity to meet and bond with our baby. It'll be hard without them here but Nani deserves this trip. I called her earlier today and she's happy. Naomi is doing well also. That's really all that matters. I still have three weeks of vacation time to take this year and I am sure I'll be on a plane within the next 4-6 weeks or so. Can't go for too long but a couple of weeks should be possible.
