hi all,

i do not know where to post this so pls bear with me.

My mother has a multiple entry visa. she arrived here in the United States last june of this yr. Her POE stamped her till nov 30th of this yr. We applied for her extension last aug and received an acknowledgement from uscis last aug. 29th. Still, at this point in time, there is no update nor an answer yet from them. Her service center is in California. When I checked on the processing time, it says 3 months? what is this 3 months meant? I am confused.

Lastly, do you think we would be able to receive an answer from USCIS on or before nov 30th?

Thanks a lot.

3 months means 3 months from the filing date. If it goes beyond 3 months, schedule an Info Pass appointment at your local USCIS office and ask about it.

Hi, sorry if this is sound stupid...but what is an infopass? ty

Follow the link I posted, You usually cannot just walk in to a USCIS field office and talk to a Case Officer, you need to schedule an appointment using the INFO-Pass system on USCIS site.
