Passport photos -ok to use ones from I-129F petition?

I have leftover US passport style photos from the ones we sent in with our original I-129F petition, is it ok to use these for the AOS submission or do they all have to be new? Pretty sure I'll get new ones just to be safe but wanted to check what others have done?

Thanks and apologies for the need for reassurance on something seemingly trivial, there is something about this whole process that makes you want to double check every step you take!

16th October 2009 - NOA1 date for I-751

05 Nov 2009 - Early biometrics appointment (taken with no hassles or query on date)

23 Nov 2009 - Biometrics appointment

23 Nov 2009 - Received email stating 'Card Production Ordered' -woo hoo!

I think the technical requirement is that they must have been taken within the last 30 days... practically speaking unless there is a date on the pack of the photo how would they ever know?

YMMV

They want the pictures to be current, that's why they state the 30 day rule. They do not want pictures from nearly a year ago. Safe yourself some possible problems and get new ones done.

I agree! All it takes is for them to take a look at your file and see that you submitted the exact same pics a while ago. I did not risk it and had new ones done.

We used the left over photos and it was not a problem. If your looks have changed then you probably should get new ones.

I used the same pics without even thinking of getting current pics and luckily ours went through with no problems. I wouldnt suggest doing it.

Why take a chance for a few bucks even tho the old ones may get by.

If you are just getting started I guess when you get your first pics you could change your shirts and get a few sets for down the line!!

That would be thinking way ahead!

I did my own digital PP pics and used them from the get go up to doing AOS . Wife went and had hers done in PI.

Took me a lot of time to get the size correct.

Next is the I-751 and I don't think digitals are allowed.

If the pics are the same they are the same, right?

No need of a date stamp to show/prove that...

All I am saying is, why risk something over a pic, that's just to easy to get replaced with a current one.
