IPOD Nano.. Video

OKOK .. Daughter had the Nano. without video.. it recently began to power down on own. and freeze up.. Luckily we had the Extended warranty via BestBuy. replacement for 2 yrs .. she just got this Nano in July.. Nicely.. when we went to the store.. we were told to let the power run down. then restart it.. etc.. if there was further problems they would exchange it.. .. that was last week .. sooo yesterday.. we ended up taking it back to the store since . every twenty min or so it would power down on own..

Long story.. short.. in exchange.. since they dont have the older NANO.. we were able to exchange the 2 gig non video Nano for a 4 gig Video nano.. .. warranty was prorated.. and thereby only having to pay $1.72 for difference in price.. sweet deal..

Now.. have the thing at home.. was wanting to try and put NON-Itunes video on it..

SOOO here I am. Asking the .. knowledgeable ones here on VJ.. HOW do you get a video on the IPOD.. is there a freeware or simple converter to do so.. so I dont have to buy from Apple? especially if i Buy from Itunes.. a video.. it would cost as much as Buying the movie as a cd and being able to play it on any format.. augh..

yes, there are tons of video converters to ipod video format (mp4).. and free!!

look for videora ipod converter, it's free, has a few adds (no malware though), but it does the job! you can set up the quality of the video, its easy to use.. personal favorite

that is great for putting the video on .. but.. what about a dvd converter? any suggestions.? Also.. possibly less technical?
