Who else is waiting since 2006 or even before that? I always feel forgotton on this forum because people are worried about having to wait for 6 months or 3 months. I am sure that there are more people waiting like I have been. And please dont give me the advice that I should contact people to help. Trust me I have contacted everyone that I can. The problem with Senators and Congressman is they can only do an inquiry on your file. I can do my own inquiry. Also anyone from MENA- has anyone successfully claimed descriminination and won that anyone is aware of?

Yeah - we've been waiting since 2006. We've been on Administrative Processing since November 21st - that's over 10 months of waiting. I finally got fed up and wrote the governor. Received a letter last week that they are checking on our case and will let us know. I'm crossingh my fingers - do we have to wait a full year to make a difference?????

We are waiting for name checks to come back so say the goveners. Cant call for 6 months from the last inquiry. We shouldnt have to wait all this time. Its not fair when others can get by with a 3 month wait. Nobody can do anything to help though. They just can make an inquiry on your behalf. We have been thinking about forgetting the visa fiancee and just getting married. He is worried this will never go through. Cant say I blame him. This isnt easy

I'm sorry to hear about your wait. This process does seem incredibly unfair at times and I do understand your comments about people being impatient when they're only 3 months into the process. I'm afraid we all want the same thing and it's easy to forget sometimes that there are people worse off than you.

I hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

Thank you! It is very hard to realize your coming up on 2 years of waiting with nothing else to do but wait. Puts a real strain on a relationship. Talk about a test of your love jeesh!

Yes, the process really tests relationships. I can't imagine anyone doubting the validity of yours though. It's ridiculous making people wait that length of time.

This is unbelievable that they leave you hanging out there like that.

We are also having a hard time with the waiting. Not sure where to turn to next, or maybe just try to say forget it. But, how can you say forget it when you truely love someone. Should I visit? Should we get married? How long will I have to wait if we get married vs waiting for the visa fiancee? nobody knows the answers to these questions. I hope you hear something soon also.

I really feel for everyone past the year mark and have to say I hope I never know what it feels like to be without a response for that long.

Just the 7 months since I applied is driving me crazy... although been seperated from my habbibi since May 2006 so I kinda do know how you feel. 4 days with him in the past 1 + years is just not enough.

I hope you hear some good news soon.... any news at all would be good i'm sure!!!!

Hang in there, it will eventually end at some point

If you get married with a K1 in progress you have to start all over with a K3. If the K1 case is not closed properly you will have problems

with misrepresentation with a K3. You can't switch visa types in midstream.

You will run into the same delay with a K3 all over again anyway and K3 takes a little longer.

The best thing is to wait it out.

I know how hard that is, 9 months and counting with us.

It's been over year (I130 filed in June 2006); and this is the latest reply USCIS sent to my senator:

This case file is currently pending detail review at headquarters. This process will take longer than normal for processing. Should USCIS discover information requiring further review and verification, the petitioner or applicant will be contacted. We appreciate your assistance and cooperation in helping us ensure the integrity of our immigration system.

Thank you

There is no answer to the long waiting time. Unless the USCIS asks us for something, there is nothing for us to provide. Patience is a virture.....and right now I don't have any!

yes, we filed our first petition in this process in July 2002. It has been a long, winding, ugly torturous, unfair, degrading, et al road since then. We filed all the papers, paid fee upon fee, provided all the proof, our petitions were approved twice, but then were accused of fraud marriage, accused of lying, and accused of being inadmissible. None of the accusations with any evidence to support them and overwhelming evidence refuting them. But it wasn't until we got to the AAO that someone actually looked at our case without prejudice and finally acknowledged that our marriage is and always was valid, we never lied about anything and we were never inadmissible. We are waiting now on our 10th security check. You'd think after making us wait for all these years, 9 security checks would be enough.
