AOS interview is November 20th, and 2 year anniversary is December 22nd. Will they expect me to file for removal of conditions? Anybody had this experience?

if you have not been married for more than 2 years on the day you are approved then you will be given conditional residency and you will have to file to remove the conditions 2 years later.....

Kez

Kez, where did you get this information from? Do you have a link? We are interviewing 1 month before 2 year anniversary.

Our green card was approved 3 weeks before our 2nd anniversary. I got a 2 year conditional green card and have to file to remove conditions by the 2nd anniversary of the green card - not he 2nd anniversary of our marriage. If you have been married more than 2 years when your green card is approved, you receive a 10 year card. If you have been married less than 2 years when your green cad is approved then you get the 2 year card (even if it is 1 day less than 2 years!) and you have to wait out the 2 years on the conditional card before you can file to remove those conditions. (The earliest you can file is 90 days prior to the expiration date on the 2 year green card).

So yes, we will have been married nearly 4 years before I am allowed to file to remove conditions.
