Greetings!

My husband really wants to visit his Mother in Turkey, this year, as she is not well..

Even though he has his "2 year" green card ...he is so afraid they will not let him back

in to the United States...They were so evil and rude to him when he first came here

on his K-1 Visa into Philly as soon as they saw he was from Turkey (a Muslim country) they

treated him like a criminal..(so much for the city of brotherly love!!) so he really paranoid!

We don't file for lifting of conditions until Feb 2008.

I will not be able to travel with him.

Anyone (from a Muslim country or otherwise) have any problems with coming back on their 2 year green card?

I would really appreciate hearing your experiences!!

Thanks so much!

Betty

Our son Chris travelled outside the US twice on his 2-year GC and had no problems.

Hope his mother gets better and he enjoys his visit.

I travelled to Newark NJ with AP and they treated me like a criminal. Never again will I go to Newark. The IO yelled at me, I wasn't allowed to talk to my husband and just sat at secondary for an hour or so until they let me go without saying anything but...you better have your name in your passport adjusted (my passport was valid for another two years)...

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019
