I grew up on the western slope of Colorado and they have just wonderful fruit. Getting tree or vine rippened fruits are out of this world. My sister had a bunch of sweet cherries and peachese when we visited last July and I really miss those wonderful flavors. I used to pick apples when I was a kid and would always eat several each day.

Apples are a big thing where I used to live (northern Wisconsin). The town of Bayfield has an annual "Apple Festival" which is pretty popular. A town of about 800 is over ran by about 60,000 over the weekend

Wow, those apples looks pretty and yummy :o , im sure you can make the best apple pie out of it.

I've seen an apple tree when we went to Zion National Park in Springdale, Utah last August , but i didn't enjoy it  because its still young and green maybe its already ripened by now.

Sis, you could start your own pie making business. :star: Seriously, I'm sure you'd find many people who'd buy your pies.

It's really a great American tradition, isn't it? We'll probably be going apple picking in a couple of weeks here. New England's great for apples. :)

Well, you might find the time and chance to go back and visit..you gonna like it 'coz I think it's the right season for it now..We don't have something like this back in PI so it is a big deal for me..I can't wait to do their peaches, berries, etc.. :)

I just love american tradition!!!

Luz, its so great to see you enjoying american traditions  Fall is my favorite time of year, apple picking, hay rides, going for pumpkins and gourds, taking drives to see the leaves change, even just being outside working in the yard. The weekend of Oct 13 & 14, the Wisconsin Dells is having a Harvest Fest, tell Gary you want to go lol I think you would enjoy it there.

Thanks for sharing the pics, you all look so happy :)
