Vee,

From what i remember about other vjers' who filed i130 petitions for their spouses in nigeria and went the

k-3 and/or cr-1 route, it took them roughly 1 year and a half, sometimes close to 2 years. It will take about 6-8 months at the NVC and then based the availability and priority of k-3/cr-1 interview dates each month- this where the scheduling of the interview can take awhile.

As other vjers have already mentioned, do a search on those who filed for their spouses in nigeria either the k-3 route and/or cr-1 route so you see the length of time it took for them to go thru this process. I recall that k-1 went pretty fast in nigeria whereas k-3 and cr-1 were a bit slow to get interview dates in nigeria.

Thanks everyone for your prompt response. Now that i had seen others who filed, it seems to be going okay, but each situation is different i have a lot of faith that this will go smoothly.I t does not seem to long i am also seeing dates progressing. i did not do the fiance route i met my husband by family introduction, africans like and feel more safe with introductions. Ialso dont want him come here and have to wait for work and besides its a bit expensive, and less hassling.

THANKS SO MUCH
