My name is Rayma and I have only met one other person with that name..... the person I was named after.

My daugher actually ran into a sales clerk in Oregon with Rayma on her name tag, and felt the need to comment on the fact that her Mom had the same name as her.

That is a very unique name. Do you know where it comes from? My wife's brother is named after his parents so the name Eddymar is after his father Edgar and his Mother Margarita. Maybe you have a smililar situation.

Try being named Carolina (pronounced "carolena" ) in Argentina

Just in my class we had 4 with that name :ranting:

The pronounciation will be unique in the US though :P

Well, my name is Mirla and I´ve never met anybody with my same name in Peru. Is not common, I don´t know if other south american countries have it though....

Some people here in Peru even ask me to repeat my name, haha! I don´t know why....and some people in US can´t pronounce my name, I have to spell it or I was asked to pronounce it more than once, hahah! Funny! At then end they were calling my by my nickname.

Even my fiance can´t pronounce my name right and it´s been over two years, hahaha! But it´s ok cause close friends and family call me by my nickname, Mimi. :) I think when he´s mad he calls me Mirla and somehow it comes out alright, hahahaha!
